Lotus Notes Error Delivery Time Expired
expired' Technote (FAQ) Question When a user sends a low-priority message, the message is returned after the time interval specified in the server's NOTES.INI parameter "MailTimeOutMinutes" has passed. The Delivery Failure Report states the failure reason as "Delivery time expired". Why does this occur? Answer Notes/Domino is working as designed. The NOTES.INI parameter "MailTimeOutMinutes" designates how long a message will be held in the Retry state. If the value of the MailTimeOutMinutes passes before reaching the time range specified for low-priority, the messages will expire and be returned to the sender. To avoid this issue, ensure that the value of the "MailTimeOutMinutes" parameter and the time range for low-priority message delivery (Configuration document -> Router/SMTP -> Restrictions and Controls -> Transfer Controls tab) are set accordingly. I can ping their mail server and I have spoken to the company's e-mail admin and they told me that they have no problems but all e-mail addressed to their domain https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/20408761/Delivery-Time-Expired.html from our server stays in our mail.box and eventually returns it to the sender with a Delivery Time Expired failure report. I tried sending a test e-mail from a Hotmail account and it went through okay. Any suggestions on where I can start to fix this problem?
