of the NotesDocument Class folder references property; ERR_NOTE_DELETED Technote (FAQ) Question You can use the FolderReferences property of the NotesDocument class to return a list of folders in which a document can be found. A document is added to a folder, and this folder is subsequently removed from the database. When you attempt to access the FolderReferences property for the document, the following error occurs in Notes 6.x and above: "Document has been deleted." In Notes 5.x, the above error is followed twice by the following error after you press the ENTER key: "B-tree structure is invalid" Also in Notes 5.x, a crash http://tips4teks.blogspot.com/2011/04/notes-error-document-has-been-deleted.html can occur when attempting to open the document in the User Interface. The following Red Box error occurs: "Sorry, an uncorrectable error has occurred. Object handle is invalid Press ENTER to abort the application." What follows is an example of an agent that uses the FolderReferences property. Sub Initialize Dim s As New NotesSession Dim db As NotesDatabase Dim doc As NotesDocument Dim references As Variant Set doc=s.documentcontext references = doc.FolderReferences http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21203350 Forall ref In references Msgbox ref End Forall End Sub Answer This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# PCOY63JJUN, and there are no plans to address the issue. When using LotusScript to remove folders, you can avoid this issue if you remove the documents from the folder prior to deleting it. To do so, use the RemoveAllFromFolder method in the NotesViewEntryCollection class. For example, use code such as follows: Set db = s.currentdatabase Set bfolder=db.getview("foldername") Set entrycol= bfolder.allentries Call entrycol.removeallfromfolder(bfolder.name) Call bfolder.remove To avoid the issue for documents already in this state, you can make use of the LotusScript On Error statement, coding it to take specified steps when the relative error, number 549, occurs. Below are a number of example usages. Example 1: This example checks for the error code 549 and then resumes execution on the next line. In this case, you must also add a conditional to check whether the variable set to the FolderReferences property is an array or not. On Error 549 Resume Next allfolders=doc.FolderReferences On Error 549 Goto 0 If Isarray(allfolders) Then 'original code End If Example 2: This example passes control to an error handling section and then back to a restart position. On Error 549 Goto bad_folderreferences 'original code restart: ....
the Notes client error; document has been deleted; setting up notes client; setup; install Technote (FAQ) Question While setting up a Lotus Notes client, a user receives this error after entering the http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21160971 password: Document has been deleted Answer This issue can occur if: 1. The user's http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21212703 Person document references an invalid Policy field (the field is designated as the "Assigned policy" entry on the Administration tab of the Person document). 2. There is corruption in the ($Policies) view in the Domino directory. 3. There is an Organizational or Explicit Policy, and a Policy Settings document is missing or corrupted and has been lotus notes removed after performing maintenance on the Domino directory. The error message "Document has been deleted" has also been observed: When attempting to run a Policy Synopsis from the Administration Client. While opening the main Policy document and reviewing the Settings Type (Selection) section. If a large number of users are reporting the issue, it could be the result of using an Organizational Policy. However, if only a few users are reporting document has been the issue, this could indicate use of an Explicit Policy. Also, users could be connected as members of the same Group document. The Administrator can run a Policy Synopsis on a user in the Domino Directory to confirm if the Policy itself is at fault or they can open the main Policy document within the Domino Directory to determine if the issue lies within that document. To work around this issue, you can: Remove the Policy from a user's Person document open the Domino Directory hold down the Ctrl + Shift keys (this will display the hidden views) from the View menu, select View -> GoTo select the ($Users) view and then press Shift + F9 to rebuild it Correct the main Policy document and push that change out to all users edit the main Policy document delete the entry "

It does not matter if the message being replied to is from that particular person; it only matters that the particular person is listed in the address fields when doing a Reply or Reply to All. If you attempt to send a new message to this person, the message is not sent, though there is no error message. Further observation shows that the new message that failed to send was saved as a Draft, but seems to be visible only when viewing the Drafts folder via the Notes Client. You are able to reply to messages from other people in the Domino Directory. This problem does not occur when replying to this particular person via the Notes Client. In a separate but similar case, a user was seeing the "Document has been deleted" warning in DWA any time they tried to send any mail to anyone else via DWA, but not via the Notes Client. Deleting the "inotesprofile" and "inotesviewprofile" documents from the mail file does not resolve the problem. Resolving the problem These problems have been known to occur when the Person document for the problem user was corrupt. The problems described above were resolved by replacing or re-creating the problem user's Person document in the Domino Directory. It was later noticed that users on one mail server could not send mail to this pa
