Notes UI Document save cancelled.Posted by Denis R Lacroix on 7.May.02 at 04:18 PM using a Web browserCategory: Notes Client -- Calendaring & SchedulingRelease: 5.0.4aPlatform: Windows NT Hi, We have a user that gets a "NotesUIDocument Save Cancelled" error message when trying to accept a meeting invitation (from one particular user). It is not a repeating meeting, just a strait forward invitation. All invitations coming to him from other users are ok, all invitations from sender to other users but him are received ok and accepted with no error. I checked if both users were owners of their respective database. They were. Thanks in advance for your input on this one. Cheers Return to top Notes UI Document save cancelled. This appears to be the fix that is working today - no telling what will pop-up next.Good luck. documents Technote (troubleshooting) Problem You attempt to process a calendar notice, most likely a reschedule or update to an http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21418281 existing meeting and get the error "An error occured while saving. Note item not found" followed by "NotesUIDocument: save cancelled" and the notice does not process. What could be http://ideajam.net/ideajam/p/ij.nsf/bytag.xsp?tag=NotesUIDocument the cause of this? Symptom "An error occured while saving. Note item not found" followed by "NotesUIDocument: save cancelled" Cause The $CSVersion field in document properties was set to 0 lotus notes (zero) which indicates the original meeting may have been created with an R4 mail file. When performing calendaring and scheduling from an R5 or later mail file the $CSVersion willl have a value of 2. At some point later on the users mail file was upgraded to a R5 or later design. The user then makes a change to the lotus notes error original meeting and sends out the update however the $CSVersion field value of the update remains at 0 instead of changing to 2 as expected. Due to the differences in meeting structures between releases the errors get generated when opened from a R5 or later mail file. Resolving the problem As a workaround you can create an agent to change the $CSVersion field value from 0 to 2: FIELD $CSVersion := "2"; Run this agent on the selected documents in the mail file, confirm the value changed from 0 to 2 and the user should be able to process the meeting notices. Example: Subform used as embedded (checking for filling in the fields needed on QuerySave) and as a dialogue (on QueryClose). All error handling should be done in the proper place - on QuerySave. I propose that the Save method returns the result as Boolean, it's would be very convenient and usefull. 42 Vote NotesUIDocument closewithoutsave methodIdeaSpace: Domino Designer Tags: NotesUIDocument, cancel, close_without_save, isdirty, closewithoutsave Melissa Snell1766-Jan 5, 2009/Comments (2) I would like to be able to call NotesUIDocument.close with a parameter that means that the user won't get the 'Do you want to save' message.
