Problem:I am trying to backup my Domino Databases. I receive the following error: invalid .NSF version. The Veritas Documentation says that this typically means that we have a version of Domino not supported. The Veritas Documentation also says that any version of Domino after 5.0.4 is supported. We have 5.0.11 which newer than 5.0.4. Help. More info, when installing the Domino Agent it told me that it didn't recognize Domino on the local server. It isn't on the backup server it is on the remote server that I was installing. Again I followed the outlined procedures from the Veritas website. Please help if you know anything. Thanks Labels: 10.x and Earlier Backup and Recovery Backup Exec 0 Kudos Reply 2 Replies Re: Invalid .nsf version error JeremyDove Level 2 02-02-2005 08:06 AM Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscr
PC.Other group members are on versions 5.0x. (Ther server is 5.0x, too,but that is not the subject.)I created an simple NSF, copied it on a USB memory and tested on othermember's PC. Alas, I got "Invelid NSF Version" error. (translationmay be wrong as I use Japanese version.)This happens on all local disk NSF files. If I copy the DB onto the server (by Notes copy function) it can beopened by other PC.When I replicate another DB onto my local disk, it opens by 6.5, butcannot be opened by other PC if I carry by USB/Floppy.This problem did not exist when I was on 6.1.So, in net, version 6.5 have downward compatibility problem aboutNSF format. Can anybody suggest how to fix?Tak Mike McReady 2004-07-13 03:32:02 UTC PermalinkRaw Message Post by TakI have installed the version 6.5 (Sep. 2003) Designer on my client PC.Other group members are on versions 5.0x.
