Resolving the problem Confirm Notes is set up as the default mail program, confirm the location document is properly configured to point to the mail database and that the mail file is accessible. To check the location document, go to File > Preferences > Locations... and edit the appropriate one. (Or click the location listed in the bottom right of the client and choose "Edit locations.."). On the mail tab, confirm the mail file location is correct (either server or local) and the mail file name. Error description Notes is set up as your default mail client, and with Notes closed, you attempt to send a Word document or an attachment from Windows Explorer by using File, Send To. Notes launches and you enter your password, but you receive an error titled "Lotus Notes MailMan Error" with an OK button. Click OK and the error disappears but the inbox is displayed as a gray screen and a new document is not launched. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install Notes after Microsoft Office and make Notes the default Mail client. 2. In Notes, right-click the Mail bookmark and select "Set bookmark as home page"; your Inbox should now launch when you start Notes. 3. Close Notes and from Microsoft Word create a new document. 4. Select File, Send To, to mail the new document. 5. Notes will launch and you are prompted for your password. 6.
