been deleted" This issue occurs in cases where you have, just prior, archived multiple documents using drag and drop. You may also observe that after you archive documents using drag and drop, if you then select documents in that view, the status bar reflects a greater number of documents than are actually selected. For example, you drag and drop 5 documents, and then select 2, the status bar will reflect "7 documents selected". Cause This occurs in cases where the view did not refresh as expected after completing the prior archive using drag and drop. Answer This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering in SPR# CHR6KPSAX; and the Notes client was modified in release 7.0.3 to avoid this issue. Workarounds You can use Shift-F9 to rebuild the view after dragging documents to archive. To revise the mail database or mail template so that this issue is avoided in Notes 7.0 through 7.0.2 and 8.0.x releases, follow the instructions found in the document titled "Document is deleted from both the mail file and archive database when attempting to archive it twice via drag and drop"(1199026). the Notes client error; document has been deleted; setting up notes client; setup; install Technote (FAQ) Question While setting up a Lotus Notes client, a user receives this error after entering the password: Document has been deleted Answer This issue can occur if: 1. The user's Person document references an invalid Policy field (the field is designated as the "Assigned policy" entry on the Administration tab of the Person document). 2. There is corruption in the ($Policies) view in the Domino directory. 3. There is an Organizational or Explicit Policy, and a Policy Settings http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21239051 document is missing or corrupted and has been removed after performing maintenance on the Domino directory. The error message "Document has been deleted" has also been observed: When attempting to run a Policy Synopsis from the Administration Client. While opening the main Policy document and reviewing the Settings Type (Selection) section. If a large number of users are reporting the issue, it could be the result of http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21160971 using an Organizational Policy. However, if only a few users are reporting the issue, this could indicate use of an Explicit Policy. Also, users could be connected as members of the same Group document. The Administrator can run a Policy Synopsis on a user in the Domino Directory to confirm if the Policy itself is at fault or they can open the main Policy document within the Domino Directory to determine if the issue lies within that document. To work around this issue, you can: Remove the Policy from a user's Person document open the Domino Directory hold down the Ctrl + Shift keys (this will display the hidden views) from the View menu, select View -> GoTo select the ($Users) view and then press Shift + F9 to rebuild it Correct the main Policy document and push that change out to all users edit the main Policy document delete the entry "

deleted and the document/email cannot be deleted. This occurs when soft deletions are enabled and orphened entries in the view are still present; linking to documents/email when are no longer in the database. - The emails have actually already been deleted, but the entry in the view is still present. The orphaned entries are also unable to be moved. To fix this do one of the following, starting with the first: Compact the database: From within the database go to File > Database > Properties > "i" tab. Click on '% used' , wait a moment and then click on compact. Disable and then re-enable soft deletions: From within the database go to File > Database > Properties > Advanced / right-most tab. Uncheck 'Allow soft deletions' , exit the database, re-open and then re-tick it. Force a refresh of orphaned entries: Get a user with manager access to the database to press Shift+Del when highlighting one of the documents/emails that cannot be deleted. Force a refresh of the views: Get a user with manager access to the database to press Ctrl+Shift+F9 when in the database. You can also try Shift+F9 In some versions this will work See Also IBM Notes Domino Forum: User cannot delete message in inbox Insted of Control+ Shift + F9 Please try Shift + F9 . It works .
