The problem there is that I cannot create the system dsn. I get the error:'The setup routines for the Lotus NotesSQL Driver (*.nsf) ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126' so had to set it up as a file DSN.Most of the bumph for this error says to check the registry is pointing to the same place the files are stored and this it does, so I don't know where to go from there. I installed teh latest MDAC but nothing changed. Can I

Here's what's I've done so far: I lotus notessql driver retrieved the file (CZOWFEN.zip) from the IBM website. I ran the exe. I then went to My Computer->Properties->Advanced->Environmental Settings->System Variables->Path and added "; c:\notessql" so the ODBC Administrator could find Notes.ini (why the setup file didn't do this in the first place, i don't know). I opened up the ODBC Administrator and tried to add a new System DSN to a Lotus DB. "The setup routines for the Lotus Notes SQL Driver (*.nsf) ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126" I redownloaded and reinstalled the driver (making sure I had the latest version 8.5). No luck. I checked the registry. All the file paths appeared to be correct. Per many, many similar cases on the internet, I tried several different variations of adding the various Lotus Notes folders to my PATH variables. Same error. I've done this setup on 5 different machines now with no problem. The only difference here is that this machine is virtual. Ideas? windows-xp drivers odbc lotus-notes share|improve this question edited Sep 8 '15 at 4:2

Installed 32-bit PostgreSQL driver via msi package. When using 32-bit ODBC Administrator to create "System DSN", receive error as follows: "The setup routines for the PostgreSQL ANSI ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126: The specified module could not be found. (C:\psqlODBC\0903\bin\psqlodbc30a.dll). I have verified the file does exist, by that name, in that location and the registry entries look good (I am not allowed to insert images until my account is "verified"). The ODBC Administrator lists the 32-bit driver (along with all the others) in the Drivers tab. I am successful creating a System DSN if I choose a different 32-bit driver (e.g. the IBM DB2 driver). Thank you for any direction you can provide. Saturday, April 05, 2014 11:38 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hey Justin. Thank you very much for the followup! I have been trying to insert images to actually "show" you the registry values AND Windows explorer showing the file exists(so you could double check me), but have had no luck - this interface claims I have not "verified my account", 'tho I believe I have done so several times - clearly, I'm missing something. The facts seem to be: 1.>the ODBC Admin displays the driver in its "Drivers" tab, 2.> when I try to "Add" a "System DSN", the ODBC Admin responds with the error I mention above, which explicity identifies the location and file name of the driver it is looking for. The driver file DOES exist in that exact location - I did NOT "move" it there or anything like that, it was placed in the location by the driver installation process. The registry entries seem to be spot on -which also m
