The problem there is that I cannot create the system dsn. I get the error:'The setup routines for the Lotus NotesSQL Driver (*.nsf) ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126' so had to set it up as a file DSN.Most of the bumph for this error says to check the registry is pointing to the same place the files are stored and this it does, so I don't know where to go from there. I installed teh latest MDAC but nothing changed. Can I not set up a Linked Server to a file dsn? The file DSN was setup OK. I know this because I can use it as a connection in DTS and successfully import various tables (although it does not work with the import wizard).I set the linked server up to the file dsn but I keep getting errors:'7399 Invalid Connection String attribute] (not sure what I was supposed to enter in the 'Product String' dialog box) Datasource name not found and no default driver specified]....

I want to use a Domino database on a server as a potential SQL source for other systems. Is this the correct installation pack for that purpose? routines for the Lotus NotesSQL Driver(*.nsf) ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126. I tried to create a system DSN for ODBC connection to the Lotus Notes Database and I got the following error: "The setup routines for the Lotus NotesSQL Driver(*.nsf) ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126." Solution Just append the Lotus Installation Path to the Path environment variable and try setting up the DSN again and it will work. Thanks, but can you be more specific? Where exactly do i add the varaible to? There are a lot of environment variables that can be added; which filename should i edit? None of them refers specifically to NotesSQL- does this mean that i have to create a new variable? Sorry for all these questions but there is a lack of any detail anywhere on the web that i have searched, on this error. Thanks again 3:00 AM WorkManProfile said... Thanks, but can you give more detail? I need to edit which environment variable exactly? Or do I create one and does it have to have a specific name? etc etc. Sorry for all these questions but there is precious little information on how to resolve this on the web , that i can find 3:02 AM Shantha said...
