Smithc32 | Jan 6 2009 6:16PM GMT I have used Lotus Notes for many years and saw this error as a tech many times. Usually this can be resolved with a reboot or if you go into the task manager you can kill all of the process that start with ‘nl’. If that does not work then you may need to remove Lotus notes from the client and re-install. If that still does not fix the issue then you can try having the lotus admin update the design. If none of those work then I am at a loss. Birdmj | Jan 8 2009 4:43PM GMT NSD (Notes System Diagnostics) can cause a few problems here and there. Two things to look at. Firstly .. and its a strange one .. check your spell checker is setup correctly. I've seen heard reports that if the spell checker in Notes client is set to a language and the relevant spelling file isn't loaded then this causes problems. Secondly instead of hunting for processes of nl* to manually cease, go look for a utility called KILNOTES "Kill notes" which will quickly and efficiently "do the dirty deed" on anything thats lurking. Good call. I had totally forgotton about KILNOTES. that is a great tool to make sure that all of the nl* processes are dead. Smithc32 | Jan 6 2009 6:16PM GMT

Notes System Diagnostic; How to run a manual NSD on a Domino Server Technote (FAQ) Question While troubleshooting a Lotus Domino server or Lotus Notes client issue, it may be necessary to run a manual NSD.
