Did you fix it the same way? I bought the camera for trips and am worried that it will happen and I won't be able to fix it, nor be able to buy another card. Funny I was on a holiday for 5 days recently and it didn't happen once. Just thinking while it is under guarantee I should consider Canon's service. I wondered if it had anything to do with the Raw upgrade recently. Many years and many cameras this has never happened before, although other things liike zoom not working or battery connection a problem but that was constant not occasionally. I tried taking the card out http://community.usa.canon.com/t5/PowerShot/Memory-card-error-on-my-Canon-Powershot-SX20IS/td-p/18449 and inserting it again. I tried using a new card. I was hoping I do not have to send the camera away for it to be fixed. Is there anything else I can try to do?ThanksEileen Me too Report Inappropriate Content Message 1 of 6 (5,527 Views) Reply 0 Kudos Richard Product Expert Posts: 529 Registered: 10-16-2012 Re: Memory card error on my Canon Powershot SX20IS.. Your camera will accept the SD and SDHC memory cards. It is not compatible with the larger SDXC memory card standard.Next, please check to see that the memory card is not locked. If you look at the edge of the memory card, you'll see a very small switch. To unlock the memory card, slide the switch forward, towards the side of the card with the metal contacts. If your memory card is one of the compatible types and is not locked, I recommend trying another brand/ model memory card.If the camera won't accept this memory card, unfortunately, your camera will require repair to correct this issue.
