CostFinalize is attempting to initialize the Directory table entry based on the value contained in the property of the same name and is encountering this invalid path. It should be possible to locate the property name in the log based on its value and then either change its name or ensure it always contains a valid path. I found that a Merge Module was the cause for the error, already containing a directory IMG Regards, Michel Reply With Quote Quick Navigation InstallShi

Answered 06/05/2006 by: Naffcat Please log in to comment Please log in to comment 0 If the Windows Installer engine is unable to connect to the source files, then that would obviously explain the 1314 error message and why the packages are failing to install. Are you sure that the client can connect to this path using the context that the MSI is installing under? What messages precede the 1314 error? What type of distribution system are you using?
