Note that any error in Winerror.h (such as ERROR_INVALID_DATA, included here) can be returned as well. For more error codes returned by the Windows Installer, see Windows Installer Error Messages.Note The error codes ERROR_SUCCESS, ERROR_SUCCESS_REBOOT_INITIATED, and ERROR_SUCCESS_REBOOT_REQUIRED are indicative of success. Dec 05, 2003 5:20 pm Subsequent .msi files created with Advanced Installer do not install over old ones. psexec error code 1619 To reproduce: 1) Create an .msi file with Advanced Installer 2) Install the .msi file. 3) Remove the .msi file from the Advanced Installer project directory 4) Click on the https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa376931(v=vs.85).aspx Build button to create a new .msi file 5) Install the .msi file on the same PC The result is that I get error 1638 "Another version of this product is already installed". I then have to remove the old one before installing the new one. Possible Causes This installer will not install over another version of the application, which is probably a later version of what is being installed.
