Sharpdesk scanning issues Troubleshooting Sharpdesk scanning issues Troubleshooting Sharpdesk scanning issues January 05, 2012This guide (see PDF attachment) resolves most of sharp ce 02 network error the issues involving scanning to Sharpdesk (CE-02, Selected Servers not found). To determine where the scan ended up if it did not arrive inside of Sharpdesk do the following:At the PC, browse to the following path: Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sharp\ftproot (verify if any scan files appear in this folder)Windows 7 & 8: C:\ProgramData\Sharp\ftproot (verify if any scan files appear in this folder)If you cannot see the folders you must select "Show hidden files and folders". You can do this by using Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View. If scan files appear in the ftproot directory (folder) you have the option to either navigate to the same ftproot path (directory) within Sharpdesk and view the files (but you must open Sharpdesk manually as it will not automatically launch. Sometimes uninstalling/reinstalling Sharpdesk may solve the issue. The most common reason why the scanned images end up in the ftproot folder (directory) is because of script blocking by antivirus/firewall programs like Norton, M

trouble scanning a document having it send to my desktop. I keep getting sharp scan to network folder selected servers are not found the error Network Error (CE-02). You had your workstation set on DHCP instead of locking it on static, network error ce now the copier can't find it because it's still using the IP address you sent it when you created your scan profile. Either lock your workstation on a static IP or get a local DNS server involved, wipe out your scan profiles on the copier, put the local DNS server IP in the web page, and resubmit your profiles from the scanner tool on your workstation.Turns out the user was not running the Network Scanning Tool on the PC they were trying to scan to.If the Network Scanning Tool isn't running you will get the CE-02 problem.Check your SMTP server set on the copier. Chances are it's wrong. Also check the SMTP relays if there are any.You can edit your profiles by typing in the ip address of the copier in your browser. This should bring up the settings of the copier.
