This question has suggested answer(s) Posted by Samed1992 on 26 May 2015 1:08 I https://support.software.dell.com/sonicwall-tz-series/kb/sw14212 am testing the new SonicWall TZ SOHO, and I am experiencing the famous Network Error again, when entering a dyndns.com (now as dyn.com) DDNS Entry. I have had this with SonicOS 5.8, but with 5.9 it was resolved until now. The fix described in the KB (Link below) does NOT WORK this time. The older TZ105 and TZ210 still work. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? https://www.fuzeqna.com/sonicwallkb/ext/kbdetail.aspx?kbid=11246 support.software.dell.com/.../sw11246 http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/security/network-mobile-email/f/4904/t/19633634 You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. All Replies Posted by lazzo on 26 May 2015 9:20 HiSAMED1992, there might be more than just one famous error and, as the kb does not resolve your issue, do you think it would be helpful to provide some explanation of the error itself? Your SonicWall does not perform any DNS resolution tasks, that´s not part of any firewall, therefore you should point out, what you are doing to achieve what, what the current setup is and what error exactly you are receiving. BTW, DNS is something you should perform internally at first and only if that is not possible at all ask outside sources to do that, or you open your network for things like DNS poisoning. Cheers, lazzo You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. Posted by Samed1992 on 27 May 2015 0:21 Dear lazzo, Thank you for your answer. My issue is not about DNS. What I am trying to do is entering a Dynamic DNS association.en.wikipedia.org/.../Dynamic_DNS I want the Sonicwall to keep the Dynamic DNS at dyn.com (formerly known as dyndns.or
error (Network Error) is displayed immediately after adding the account to your Sonicwall. The easiest solution is to upgrade network error to the latest firmware: For 5.8, this is at least 5.8.4.0; For 5.9, this is anything after June 2014. Dell Support also offers an alternative, although dyndns network error this only works with more recent 5.9 versions: https://support.software.dell.com/kb/sw11246 computer, firewall, sonicwall, dell, networking comments e-mail this Tags computersoftwarewindowsmicrosoftlinuxhardwareexchangenetworknewshomemacvmwareoffice365msofficepowershellserversqlserversoaringinternetadsbseventsdellterminalserveresxrdsvirtualizationantivirusoutlookmssql Archive « ‹October 2016› »SunMonTueWedThuFriSat12345678910111213141516171819202122232425262728293031 Links - @harkx - Cats & Dogs - Soaring Club Albatros (BE) Quote « Most people tend to avoid true conflict. Next Step Getting Started Welcome to the Dyn Wizard! These instructions will help you set up DynDNS service with your webserver from start to finish, including server installation, network configuration, and Dyn account creation. Let's begin! Step 1 of 7: Install your server The first step is to set up the services you want to run from your network. You should decide what you would like to access remotely, and install hardware or software in your network to accomplish this. For example, you could host a personal website for family photos with XAMPP and SPGM; remotely access files, shared printers and other devices with OpenVPN; or install a web-enabled surveillance camera for home security. Once you have chosen the services you wish to use, installed them, and tested them locally, you may move to the next step. (Please note: Dyn cannot provide support for service installation or setup. You will need to contact the software or hardware authors for more help.) Step 2 of 7: Configure your firewalls Once your server application is installed, you
