Every time I try to access this specific website, I get this error message. It's been like this for 3 days. Any idea how to solve it? pencilcrayons View Public Profile Find all posts by pencilcrayons #2 February 1st, 2008, 12:00 PM Words New Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 15 "DNS" is basically something the Internet uses to find websites. You could try the following: flushdns: 1) Open a command prompt (Start -> Run -> Type "cmd" and press enter) 2) Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press enter Ask your ISP: If the problem persists after having done the above, the problem may be with a router at your ISP. You may need to make them aware of the problem if they're not already. Let me know if this works! Words View Public Profile Visit Words's homepage! As for contacting my ISP, I think I'm going to do that. Unfortunately, it's a weekend today, so I have to wait till tomorrow to get a hold of them. Any other ideas of how I could try to solve it myself? pencilcrayons View Public Profile Find all posts by pencilcrayons #4 February 1st, 2008, 07:10 PM Steven.Bentley CTH Subscriber Join Date: Nov 2000 Location: West Yorkshire, UK Age: 37 Posts: 3,840 DNS errors are often a red herring - resolving the IP address is the first step of connecting, so if that fails you get an error.
