First off, go to settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Google Play Store and select "Clear Data" Then, return to your home screen and just wait for the Play Store to auto-update. If it does not come up on its own, re-open the store and select "update" Finally, close the app (after it

I recently purchased a Visual Land Prestige 10. I am nothing more than a lightly-educated consumer; although I have owned an android telephone for a year and know my way around the basics, I am certainly not adept at anything beyond the basic use of my devices. Maybe that's the problem. I bought the VLP primarily to read e-books and to do some light internet browsing. I have noticed that my wifi connection is quite slow when browsing, and I often receive the pop up message as to whether I want to close the browser or wait when opening up a webpage. I normally press Wait and it typically sets up afterwards. At all times it looks like I have a strong connection to the wifi, so the drag to me is inexplicable. However, the REAL reason I'm asking for assistance is that I am attempting to download an app (Mantano Ebook Reader Lite) from both 1Mobile Market and GetJar, and although both of them show the free app as downloadable, whenever I attempt to do so, I get the message: "Network error...RETRY". I do have an internet connection - I can jump right on the browser at the same time I'm getting this error message - so for the life of me, I can't figure out why I can't get through. This is not the only app that gives me this error message, but it's one that immediately came to mind for the purpose of this forum. Anyone who could weigh in on cause and cure would be a hero in my book. Thanks. Last edited by Mr_Ected; 02-25-2013 at 06:44 AM.
