This discussion is locked JamesMac54 Level 1 (0 points) Q: Mapping A Network drive and getting error 36 Hii need some help as i am getting really frustratedI have a iomega network drive that i have had connected into my router via an ethernet network cable from the drive to the network port in the router, it was then mapped to my windows PC and then i could save documents onto it. I have managed to connect to the network drive via the mac, and i can see all the files on the hard drive and i can drag them off the drive onto the apple mac, but when i try to drag documents onto the drive from the mac i get the following errorFinder cant complete the operation because some data in "file name" can't be read or written (error code-36)when i load up windows on my mac via the boot camp, the network drive works perfectly and i can drag and drop documents on it. Just cant work it on the macHas anyone come accross this before, or do you know what could be causing this. I've updated two MacBooks up to SnowLeopard (one time Update form Tiger and one time Leopard). Both systems could have access (read and write) to that NAS. But after i've updated to SnowLeopard, i just could connect to the NAS and read. By the way, now i can only copy files to my local drive, i can't access files stored on the NAS. When i click to a ZIP-file or another document, i just get a message that the application could not be found. When i want to write files to my NAS, there's the "error 36" you've mentioned. I'm using Samba-File-Sha

I have tried "clearing cache" and "clearing data" in the Application Manager for Backup Assistant Plus as well as Sync Service but still no luck. Anyone else having the same issues? I'm not showing any known issues reported with the S4 and backup assistant plus after that update. Do you encounter the same issue when using our Verizon Cloud application? I have found very little online or from PlayStation. I have already restored my router and have even restored my ps3 to factory default settings from safe mode. I have even connected to a different Wi-Fi network and still nothing. I am able to connect to the internet in my ps3 just fine, only when I try to sign in does it fail. I think this is an issue with psn and a handful of users. Anybody have any other ideas besides what I've always tried? Mod Edit: Removed labels. Labels are for use in the General Forum only.
