The message appears with an error code (see below).Important! The scanner is not qualys scanner appliance datasheet functional until the NETWORK ERROR message is resolved. Make sure the network set up and/or proxy configuration is correctly defined in the scanner appliance console.The error code displayed with a network error message provides specific information on the error to assist with troubleshooting. Show 1 comment1 CommentNameEmail AddressWebsite AddressName(Required)Email Address(Required, will not be published)Website Addressjdelabr https://community.qualys.com/docs/DOC-2824 Jul 15, 2014 8:12 AMI would highly advise to follow the below procedure instead to force connection reset.One of our scanner was configured to access Qualys Guard through a proxy (internal DNS do not allow resolution of Internet URL's such as qualysguard.qualys.com, flows are not allowed from internal to the Internet without an NTLM authenticated proxy session).This worked well for some times until the account used for Proxy NTLM authentication got locked by someone else. After resetting the account and setting it back to the scanner's configuration, the scanner would not take the new account and would perofrm unauthenticated calls to the proxy (without passing the credentials). David Guirra form the French support team provided us with the below (much simpler) process to make sure the network configruation is reset, I applied it and the issue was solved.- power off the scanner appliance- unplug the scanners network cable and power on the scanner applaince- use reset network config, then select reboot from the front panel- once the scanner has restarted, plug the network cable in and configure the network again.I hope this helps!Kind regards,JulienLi
