When i try to login to essbase studio it says "error connecting essbase studio server" with detailed error "Network communication with the server failed. Check your network connection and try again. Connection refused: connect" Any idea? https://community.oracle.com/thread/2458116 I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 962Views Tags: none (add) essbaseContent tagged with essbase This content has been marked as final. of the A-Team? No? Why ever not? I do so love it when a plan comes together. What’s the Plan, Stan? Unless you are http://camerons-blog-for-essbase-hackers.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html a New Zealander, that link isn’t going to be terribly helpful.Nope, the plan is to have people (you know who you are, and thanks) send me material for this blog http://businessintelligence.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/hyperion-admin-l/issue-connecting-to-essbase-from-eas-plugin-3661211 so I don’t have to strain my brain trying to come up with interesting content. And oh, this one is interesting.More cool free (so long as you are a network error customer or partner) stuff from Oracle #3Oracle Support has always had a lot of good Essbase information buried in its vaults – knowledge base articles that: highlight the most common and popular product questions, list resources, illustrate good practices, highlight troubleshooting tips, cover the seemingly never ending installation and configuration issues that clog up OTN and Network54, review upgrade network error 10054 steps, figure out what release of what works with what, and generally advise on how to get the most out of Essbase. It’s all in there, but scattered amongst many documents. The solutionOracle has brought all of the above into a new document, Overview Advisor: Oracle Hyperion Essbase [ID 1344571.2].This is pretty awesome stuff, as that advisor, in addition to its great information also links to:Use Advisor: Oracle Hyperion Essbase [ID 1345293.2]Troubleshoot Advisor: Oracle Hyperion Essbase [ID 1344617.2]Install Advisor: Oracle Hyperion Essbase [ID 1344619.2]Upgrade Advisor: Oracle Hyperion Essbase [ID 1344626.2]Certify Advisor: Oracle Hyperion Essbase [ID 1345292.2]Performance Advisor: Oracle Hyperion Essbase [ID 1344572.2]No more complaints about not being able to find cool Essbase information in a central location, right?Let’s sample just one of the linksThere’s way too much good information going on here for me to try more than one – and get this – the content changes as new information comes in so any attempt by me to list it all would be quickly out of date. Issue connecting to Essbase from EAS plugin craig johnson asked Jul 28, 2010 | Replies (6) New installation of 11.1.20, installed EAS, EIS, Essbase and workspace. Trying to add the essbase server to EAS through the plugin and get the error: "Network error[111]: Unable to connect to [[192.168.122.218:1423]. The client time out waiting to connect to Essbase Agent using TCP/IP. Check your network connections. Also make sure that server and port values are correct." Did a ps -ef | grep ESS on the server and one java process comes up which I think is weblogic. So I'm not sure if essbase is actually running. I ran the start-all script (start.sh) which I assumed would start up everything including the essbase server.
