Norton Ghost Application Error 437
image from DVD (or any optical media) under WinPE? Ghost Error Application error 437 cannot read from file The main causes are the following : - Image integrity check failed due to corrupted image and/or drive read error - Source image was created using compression If your optical media and/or drive are not in cause, I would try again doing the image using less compression or without any compression. It boots to WinPE just fine but when Ghost runs I get an application error 437 - cannot read from file from Ghost. I can browse the DVD and I see the files. Apparently Ghost cannot read them.Has anyone else experienced this problem and solved it? Any thoughts on why Ghost cannot read the image file? Is norton ghost application a dual layer DVD in a different format from a standard DVD? Its mentioned in one of the posts also.. cant find the link right now. My suggestion would be to split the image and then try the restore. If it fails again then something else to worry about. How long does the DVD read before you get the 437 error? I am 95% sure the problem is the bun quality, specially at the layer break. If you are using DL media other t

I have formatted it several times before and re-loaded windows back on without any problems til now. The problem only started two days ago when I noticed my CD Drive wasn't been recon. So I decided to format etc, got out the Recovery Utility disc that came alone with the Computer to install everything, and it won't go past 12%. I am greeted with ****** Application Error 437 Cannot read from file" I am left really stuck and can load nothing. I have fdisc / formated /spinrite / kill disc the hard-drive just in case there were something nasty on there and can still get nowhere. This is the first time I'm really stuck. Could this be the CD Rewriter or could it be the Hard-disc or basicly the computer is nakered. I have inspected the Recovery disc's, and they are all clean! Or would it be because I did a bios update (mind you, that were weeks ago)
