Each line in Excel contains details of the individual GRN for up to three order lines. http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel-questions/595352-visual-basic-applications-overflow-error.html The macro should then take this data and create an appropriate XML file. I was getting a loop error, but after some digging on this site I resolved that, but now I am getting an overflow error. Can someone please have a look at my code and let me know where I am going wrong? Code: Sub GenerateXML() ' Dim intRowS As Integer, intRowC As Integer, intRowC2 As Integer, intRowD As Integer Dim strTab As String, strTab2 As String, tempco As String intRowS = 10 'row count on DataEntry Sheet intRowC = 3 'row count on GenCode Sheet intRowC2 = 3 intRowS2 = 6 intRowS3 = 5 intRowS4 = 4 intRowS5 = 3 strTab = "GenCode" strTab2 = "DataEntry" tempco = "" 'codes to check for special characters Worksheets(strTab2).Range("A10", "Y1100").Replace What:="&", Replacement:="&", SearchOrder:=xlByColumns, MatchCase:=True Worksheets(strTab2).Range("A10", "Y1100").Replace What:="'", Replacement:="'", SearchOrder:=xlByColumns, MatchCase:=True Worksheets(strTab2).Range("A10", "Y1100").Replace What:="""", Replacement:=""", SearchOrder:=xlByColumns, MatchCase:=True Worksheets(strTab2).Range("A10", "Y1100").Replace What:="<", Replacement:="<", SearchOrder:=xlByColumns, MatchCase:=True Worksheets(strTab2).Range("A10", "Y1100").Replace What:=">", Replacement:=">", SearchOrder:=xlByColumns, MatchCase:=True Sheets(strTab).Select Cells.Select Selection.ClearContents Worksheets(strTab).Cells(1, 1) = "" Worksheets(strTab).Cells(2, 1) = "" Worksheets(strTab).Cells(intRowC, 2) = "" intRowC = intRowC + 1 Worksheets(strTab).Cells(intRowC, 2) = "" intRowC = intRowC + 1 Worksheets(strTab).Cells(intRowC, 2) = "" & Worksheets(strTab2).Cells(intRowS5, 2) & "" intRowC = intRowC + 1 Workshee

Also the values at the time of overflow using watch was : Count = 32942, i=0,j=182....which basically means 181 iterations in the inner loop has been through and it gets stuck at 182nd iteration....I am not able to understand wat is overflowing...can someone plz help with the reason and the remedy? Only the final loop is used. Sub xyz() Dim i As Long Dim j As Long Dim Count As Double For i = 0 To 100 For j = 0 To 10000 Count = (i * i) + (j * j) + Application.WorksheetFunction.Power((i * i) + (j * j), 0.5) Next j Next i MsgBox Count End Sub Formatting tags added by mark007 MVP (Excel 2008-2010) "Provide sample data and layout if you want a quicker solution." - MD To help indent your macros try Smart Indent Please remember to mark threads 'Solved' Reply With Quote 02-28-2011,06:35 AM #3 Abhijeet View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries View Articles VBAX Regular Joined Feb 2011 Posts 9 Location Ya i know that..i have to implement something similar elsewhere...so was testing w
