With in my report I am getting an OVERFLOW error and I believe its due to me ocassionally having division 0/0. This does not always happen but sometimes at the beginning of a month I run a report that does not have any data for a certain field. Any input? Overflow Errors are generally caused when a number exceeds the limit of the FieldSize assigned to the Field. You could have Fields whose Values are fine, by themselves, but when using them in calculations, are exceeding the limits of the resultant Field. I really need to find a solution to the dividing by zero problem because its going to happen every so often and it really t
into a local table in Access 2003. There are ~1400 records (dates, text, and integers). I verified that the date and integer fields contain only that type of data. When attempting to run an append query to a sql 2000 database table (with the same destination fields) I receive an "Overflow" error. I have found reference to "Numeric Overflow" and am not sure if this is the same. Any ideas on what is causing this and how to resolve it? Thank you! Guest, Sep 27, 2006 #1 Advertisements Guest Guest Figured it out. The short date format in Access "09/26/2006" required 10 characters, the date format in the sql table was 8.
