Respond to this 0 That's a problem with the yellow laser scanner assembly. There is a laser scanner for each color. You'll need to replace it. by moe on Mar 13, 2014 at 3:21pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Moe, I think the M means the magenta scanner is faulty The motor is probably seized.. - laserphil 0 laserphil is correct. You can printer error sometimes fix it yourself but keep in mind this is a difficult laser/scanner to access. Do a google search for the service manual and then see if you want to tackle it. If you do refer to the link below for repairing the LJ2200 scanner motor as the instructions are the same except for the removal of the scanner and the removal of the top cover of the laser/scanner.http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/laser/43187#2 by dmzcompute 51.2k printer error on Mar 14, 2014 at 5:18am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Oops, typo. As this is related to my work, I did do some more research. And yep, yall are dead on. It's the laser. I looked in the manual for changing this out and on page 233 (255 of the PDF) it walks you through removing the lasers. My supervisor and I both agree that we want to bring in a company that does this for a living to fix this one. I'm pretty good on basic stuff, roller, fusers, some boards and some laser, but not on a beast like this.thanks again, spt_prnt_fixer by spt_prnt_fixer on Mar 14, 2014 at 9:12am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 If you post your location you might get lucky and happen to be near one off the people giving you advice. by Stephen on Mar 19, 2014 at 7:50pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 You're a lot closer than I am to Spartanburg Stephen. by moe on Mar 19
