60.2 Hp Printer Error
60.2 Error - P Laserjet 4200, 4250, 4350, P4014, P4015 60.2 Tray 2 Lift Error The 60.2 error means that the tray

didn’t properly lift and the paper sensor wasn’t actuated in the allowed amount of time. When this happens, you will typically first hear a loud grinding or popping sound followed by the error message. The 60.2 tray lift error is

usually caused by improper paper installation. When paper is added, the bottom sheet may get folded up between the front of the tray and the paper inside the tray. This causes the tray to bind as it lifts the paper up.Troubleshooting the 60.2 error in the HP Laserjet 4200, 4250, 4350, P4014, P4015First, remove the paper and reinsert the tray, if it lifts and goes to a paper out message then double-check the back paper stop to make 60.3 printer error sure it is aligned with the letter indicator. Then reinstall the paper and try again. If it still gives you the 60.2 error with the paper out or after reinstalling the paper, then remove the right side cover and check the paper tray lift motor. On top of the motor is a spring attached to part of the metal frame. The spring can break causing the motor assembly to not properly engage the gear on the tray. Remove the spring, fold up one of the coils where the spring broke and reinstall. If the spring is attached, then either try a new tray (500 sheet tray part # RM1-1088] or lift motor [part # RM1-1074 for the 4250 or RM1-0033 for the 4200/4300). Both can be bought relatively cheaply and the motor is not that hard to change out.On a 4700 series Color LaserJet if you are getting a 60.2 error verify that the machine is on a flat surface. Because of the size people don't always sit it on a surface large enough for all four feet to sit on it. If one of the feet isn't on the surface the bottom of the machine pushes up on the tray and causes it not to lift properly.Another thing I notice is that when the motor lifts the paper, the back of the tray wants to move up. If the back of

you help me? Respond to this 0 Deborah,What is the make & model of your office printer? by Anonymous on Nov 14, 2006 at 11:54am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 From experience I am sure this is a Laserjet 42 or 43 series printer and the error indicates the tray 2 has a lifter motor error. In other words the paper in the tray is not lifting up. Most common cause of this issue is a little spring which runs from the outside of the motor to a clip on the frame has broken or come off. When you turn on the printer, have tray 2 removed and see if you get the error. I think not and then tray 1 (manual tray) should work. Email me with the link above if you want a pdf page which will show the spring. by dmzcompute on Nov 14, 2006 at 3:07pm Add comment Please sign in to comment May I have a pdf page which will show me the spring in question.
