Rdp Error Code 4360
2012 Posts 3 Thank Post 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts Rep Power 0 Cannot connect via MSTSC to server Hello I have a problem connecting to a server running 2008 R2 via MSTSC or Remote Desktop Connection Manager. Using RDCM, it returned an error code, 7431. Couldn't find much info on Google so I tried MSTSC, which gave a more detailed rdp error 3335 error which basically said that there was a time or date difference between the my pc and the server. I've checked the time on my PC, been down to the server room and logged on to the physical server using a KVM and the time and dates are the same as well. In the event log it states that the RPC Server has failed. This is a Document\File server and all of the network shares are still active, all users can still access user areas, departmental areas and shared areas. We do have nagios as well which gave us the additional info 'Result from smbclient not suitable.' I did do a search of the forum before posting this, I used to use Edugeek under a different username (freaky_seb, changed job and this account was linked to my old work email.) Any help would be rewarded with cookies and doughnuts! Cheers Send PM 20th April 2012,12:15 PM #2 DaveP Join Date Oct 2006 Location Can't talk now: The mother-ship is calling! baffling issues. Ran a bunch of servers through VMWare converter last night. Main DC came up with UTC time. Host has correct UTC. DC has correct TZ. By this morning, all my network was 4 hours ahead. :). Changed the time on the DC, it propagated fine. All my servers and workstations now have the right date, time and TZ. I have a few servers that I can't RDP to. I use Remote Desktop Connection Manager, it comes back with am error 7431. Using MSTSC, I get a time difference error between my workstation and the server. BUT, they have the same time. And I only get that trying to connect by name. If I try by IP, I can get in no problem. Ideas?? NTP is different to timezone so if you have a server that is out by, say 10 hours and you fix it by changing the timezone so it looks correct, that won't work. Your best bet is to make sure that ALL your servers and workstations are in the same timezone and that they are all syncing from the domain controller. 0 Serrano OP TagYourIT Mar 17, 2016 at 9:15 UTC this may help: http://blogs.technet.com/b/nepapfe/archive/2013/03/01/it-s-simple-time-configuration-in-active-directory.aspx 0 Mace OP Grey Mar 17, 2016 at 9:27 UTC GreyRose LLC is an IT service provider.
