Plus a startdocprinter call was not issued windows 7 I installed the latest Windows Updates which came out last week. This server appears to be working correctly with printing - at least as far as my client has been testing. So I don't really know whether the issues was an anomaly on my first RDP server or not. If I find that I am still getting the printing errors on the second server I'll respond back to this forum... Thanks.. It appears like it is not only RDP redirected printing which is a problem. I'm also having users have network printers which are only sporadically printing. I have network printers configured for each user and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't work. When printing from our Microsoft NAV software I didn't see any error message when the printing wouldn't work - just nothing would print out. But from Notepad I see the following error message: A StartDocPrinter call was not issued. From Paint I see the following message: Paint: Could not start print job. Looking on the Print Server, these jobs never make it to

I have a client on a Cloud Server we created for them to use an accounting program. For a few weeks now, they have been unable to print intermittently. There are 3 users accessing this server. Sometimes all 3 work just fine, sometimes 1 of them and it happens once or twice every week and it's growing frustrating. The pr

I've had this problem where a user sends a print job(only from an XP machine) to a HPLJ 5850 printer on the print server. The user gets a Print job succesful message but nothing prints. I've noticed the error message I recieve on the print server is "Win32 error code returned by print processor: 5" Source ID 6161I can't find a resolution to this anywhere so any help would be greatly appreciated. SP4 for use in our manufacturing environment. We have 7 printers installed on this server that are used for printing tickets on our packaging line. Each of the 7 printers are sent a couple of hundred small print jobs per hour. We have recently begun experiencing several Event ID 61 messages with the following text: The document xxxxxx owned by SYSTEM failed to print. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 122 (0x7a). This will occur a few times over the course of a few minutes and then the printers will eventually stop receiving print jobs. This does not appear to be related to a single printer but will occur on different printers. The print spooler service does not stop due to these errors. However, the printers themselves will show a status of deleting job and the job never deletes. A restart of the print spool service seems to correct the issue. This server is a dual P4 2.4GHz with 1.5GB RAM running Windows 2000 Advanced Server with SP4. It also serves as the SQL 2000 Server for the production floor along with a few other pieces of manufacturing software. I have also noticed on a few occassions, of this issue, that the Spoolsv process has approached 3000 open file handles, however, most of the time the file handles remain below 600. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue or if it is sometime of misconfiguration or known issue? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Wayne Jones.
