Both possibly Windows Server > Directory Services Question 0 Sign in to vote Hi. Im getting 2042 AD replication Errors between 2DCs. The

messages are appearing on both DCs. I tried removing the lingering objects from Server 1 by running the repadmin command from Server 3 and this said it was successfull for each of the failing Directory Partitions. I then rebooted Server 3 but the lingering objects I event id 1232 thought had been removed from Server 1 are still there and Im still getting the 2042 events on Server 3. Have I got to still use the "Allow Replication With Divergent and Corrupt Partners" registry key ? Thanks for any responses. Below is the repadmin /showrepl output from Server 3. checking the replication of my root and child dc's by the commands "repadmin /syncall" and "repadmin /showreps" I got an error as shown below: can't retrieve message string 1908 https://systemadminguide.wordpress.com/2014/02/03/cant-retrieve-message-string-1908-error-1815-in-windows-server-2003/ (0x774) error 1815 Googling it I could find this may be also due https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26008984/Active-Directory-Replication-Problem.html to an issue with DNS entries, but I was sure of no DNS change recently within the domain. I tried my luck restarting the "NetLogon" service and it worked. Again executing the commands above gave me the output as shown below: Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Share on the remote Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to email (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading... Solved Active Directory Replication Problem Posted on 2010-04-22 Active Directory Windows Server 2003 Exchange 1 Verified Solution 12 Comments 3,207 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-21 I have an problem whereby I have added new AD users and the Exchange email address is not being automatically added into the user’s details and so the users cannot access their mailboxes. This has started to happen on all new users we add. I investigated the DCs and ran a NETDIAG and this is the output from it - it seems that Active Directory is not replicating properly and I was wondering if this would be the underlying cause. Is there any way to fix this issue? Network topology as follows... Head office = nt101 and nt102 and Exchange member server Branch office 1 = nt811 Branch office 2 - nt1801 NETDIAG log file...
