If you have an Acrobat question, ask questions and get help from the community. error message 135, cannot read Recently acquired Acrobat XI that came with http://www.aspose.com/community/forums/thread/46867/error-135-in-secure-document-in-adobe-6.01.aspx a scanner. Previously had version 9 and no problems with it. Several acrobat docs sent to me by email. Out of the 4 docs, the one that adobe reader was previously printed out, scanned and converted to acrobat, no problem. The other 3 which are originals, when I open the file and attempt to scroll thru it, get error message 135-- cannot read document. This prevents saving the document or doing anything else with it other than seeing it on the screen. I found adobe reader error a suggestion on the forum, but cannot find the parameters that should be changed. Downloaded Soda PDF and it does not have any problem with the files. Also someone else did not have any problem with it. Don't know what version they used but probably an older one. Any suggestions appreciated. Joe Milkes This question has not yet been answered. The problem goes away if I turn off security. It seems to happen with pages with web links on them, if I remove the link it works ok. What happens is the pdf loads up ok and as you page through it and get to a page with a problem you get the error 135 message and the page is replaced with a blank page. I've seen a few posts with similar info, but they seemed old and I can't work out if a definitive solution has been posted.
