Can you describe your workflow in detail? Mike Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: error while parsing a form type 3, or pattern (alex_veliz) Apr 1, 2008 12:44 PM (in response to (alex_veliz)) Hi Mike, I created the file in Pages '08. Is that what you mean? When I go with the document open, I go to file, print, and then change to color sync, and make file smaller and finally save as .pdf. I also tried exporting the file as a .pdf and the same problem occurred. I think perhaps I used a font that it did not like.???? Thanks for your help. alex Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. The generated document will not display at all after clearing this error. Thanks, William # TueJun1409:41:432005 Guest - Correspondence added Download (untitled) / with headers text/plain 442b Lars, I forgot to mention that these forms work fine under Linux. I eventually turned on both prDocDir and prLogDir. The prDocDir produced a file while https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=13241 could be opened just fine with no parsing errors. I am using PDF::Reuse through Apache2 with mod_perl. This means that the error lies in how the data is being sent back to browser. I'll be doing some more investigating this afternoon. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, William # TueJun1418:11:482005 Guest - Correspondence added Download (untitled) / with headers text/plain 612b Lars, Good news! I think that I've found the problem with my PDFs and you'll be glad to know that it has nothing to do with your library. As I mentioned in the previous comment, I narrowed the problem down to the transfer from the server to the client. It turns out that the library I was using to stream the file to the client (CGI::Application::Plugin::Stream) was not opening the file in binary mode. I added a binmode function and everything started working perfectly. I suspect this was the cause of the error I reported several months ago so you can close out all of these tickets now. Thanks! likely corrupt or invalid. There was end error while parsing the PDF file. The PDF is likely corrupt or invalid.Dec 04 2008 3:26 PM I keep getting the above error while trying to open a file to a merged PDF. The code worked in .NET 1.1 and we recently http://www.dynamicpdf.com/Forums/DisplayThread.csp?FD=18&TD=1827 converted the project to .NET 2.0 and now we are getting the error: "There was end error while parsing the PDF file. The PDF is likely corrupt or invalid." I replaced the ceTe.DynamicPDF.11.dll with the ceTe.DynamicPDF.20.dll file and added the DynamicPDF for .NET(framework 2.0 and 3.0) reference. No code was changed in the conversion process and I get no errors or warnings when I debug the project. Any ideas? Re: There was end error while parsing the PDF file. The PDF is adobe reader likely corrupt or invalid.Dec 04 2008 3:58 PM Posted by a ceTe Software moderator Hello, The error you are getting is likely because of some stray HTML getting outputted along with the PDF stream. Please try adding the following line of code right after the DrawToWeb method of the document object and it will likely solve your problem. Visible = false; Thanks, ceTe Software Support Team Re: There was end error while parsing the PDF file. The PDF is likely corrupt or adobe reader error invalid.Dec 04 2008 4:15 PM No such luck. I used both document.DrawToWeb("FormFiller.pdf", Visible = false); and document.DrawToWeb("FormFiller.pdf"); Visible = false; I still got the same error. If the problem was stray html wouldn't it have given this error in .net 1.1? Re: There was end error while parsing the PDF file. The PDF is likely corrupt or invalid.Dec 04 2008 5:14 PM Posted by a ceTe Software moderator Hello, Sometimes setting Visible to false does not remove the stray HTML. Try using Response.End(); instead an see if that helps. This could also be being caused by in the HTTP headers coming back from IIS. If the Response.End does not work, please post the header information that is coming back from IIS on the page that is calling the DrawToWeb method. You can use a tool such as ieHTTPHEadersieHTTPHEaders to view this information. You can send this over to support instead, if it contains sensitive information. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thanks, ceTe Software Support Team Re: There was end error while parsing the PDF file. The PDF is likely corrupt or invalid.Dec 09 2008 4:08 PM I can't use the ieHTTPHeaders software because of Network constraints. I did find this that might help. While stepping thru the process I found the I get the error message after this line is ran MergeDocument document = new MergeDocument(MapPath("PDFForms/2875kf2.pdf")); so it is not even getting to the DrawToWeb
