Adobe Reader Install Error Windows 7
Apr 27, 2011 8:58 AM I am having trouble patching my Adobe Reader 9.4.3 MSI file to install the latest MSP patch 9.4.4.When I attempt to patch it by using the batch command (below):msiexec /a "C:\Documents and Settings\ShafferR\Desktop\AdbeRdr943_en_US.msi" /p "C:\Documents and Settings\ShafferR\Desktop\AdbeRdrUpd944_all_incr.msp"I receive the following Error (below). All previous patches have applied without error. I have re-downloaded all patches and even the adobe reader install error mapped drive 9.4.0 MSI file from Adobe's FTP site and attempted to re-patch from the flat 9.4.0 up to 9.4.4 using all incremental patches, but I keep getting hung up on patch 9.4.4.Once this error pops up, the patch rolls back and uninstalls. Anyone run into this problem or know how to fix it? 5969Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 16 replies 1. Re: Reader 9.4.4 msp patching error 1334 (Adobe.Reader.Dependencies.manifest) bg99UW Apr 27, 2011 12:53 PM (in response to RShaffer21) I was running into this same error today and lucked across the following posthttp://forums.adobe.com/message/3467967#3467967I did a nos extract of the 9.4 executable, then did a msiexec /a of the Acroread.msi it generated, saved that MSI in a secondary directory, and was able to apply the 9.4.2 - 9.4.4 patches to it. Hope that link helps. 1 person found this helpful Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. I have downloaded via AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi and AdbeRdrUpd1012.msp, and then used the command: msiexec /p AdbeRdrUpd1012.msp /a AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi

to create an AIP. I also used the Adobe Customisation tool to create an mst for adobe reader install error 1603 EULA, silent install etc. (I copied a setup.ini from an expanded exe version) On attempting to deploy on windows 7 I'm getting: Product: Adobe adobe reader install error 1406 Reader X (10.1.2) -- Error 1334.The file 'adobearmhelper.exe' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. I have https://forums.adobe.com/thread/844037 tried an number of things, e.g. right clicking the msi to install and still get the same result. Any ideas? 0 Comments [ + ] Show Comments Comments Please log in to comment Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,so that the conversation will remain readable. Answers 0 The strange thing here is that, since you made an AIP for your installation, this would mean all files would be external to the MSI Have you http://www.itninja.com/question/adobe-reader-x-error-1334-the-file-adobearmhelper-exe-cannot-be-installed taken the 2 step approach like this: 1) create an AIP of the base MSI using MSIEXEC.EXE /a
follows: "Error 1334. The file 'xxx.xxx' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error reading the cdrom, or a problem with this package." The file is present on https://community.flexerasoftware.com/archive/index.php?t-100115.html the system. I have looked at the security settings, both the 'system' & 'everyone' users, all have admin rights. I have check all the paths, variables & the table editor, all looks correct. I have even repackaged the same app a http://acrobat315.rssing.com/chan-6520317/all_p183.html second time around, the same error message appears but on a different file. One was an .exe and the other a .dll. They have no com settings, no file extensions. I have removed both files from the MSI & adobe reader re-added them, same error message appears. I have even remove the file from the package, but the error appears on a different file in the package. These packages, both compile & are validated correctly with NO errors being produced. I am installing the MSI package on another PC, with admin rights. The error message appears when the msi is copying files. Can some one help me.......! nicholas_ong08-09-2002, 06:59 AMWhen you compiled your package, is it compressed or uncompressed? On installation, adobe reader install are you running it from a network location? Have you tried copying the entire MSI to your local drive and executing from there? Just a few suggestions, hope it helps. magpie08-11-2002, 11:55 PMThe package is compressed. The package is compiled on one PC, then I have shared this directory, then connected to it from the other PC. (How I normally do it) I then have copied it to the local drive, but it still isn't working Ughhh! nicholas_ong08-12-2002, 08:12 AMI feel for ya, btw what application is this? AlaksSevugan08-20-2002, 04:12 PMWhat is the name of the file that the MSi is displaying an error for? Did you make sure that file is in the cab? magpie09-09-2002, 07:04 PMThis error is produced when you have files that are in components and are not marked as 'key files' being copied to the [installdir]. For each error that occurs, you need to make a new component, add the file to it that is causing the errors, set it as a key file. Also, put the new component into the setup area as well. This will resolve the 1334 error messages that are occurring. This then produced another similiar error when building the cab file. I had to rebuild the cab file in the uncompressed mode, as the compressed mode did not work correctly. Harley022610-03-2003, 03:17 PMI have seen this before and it should have nothing to do w
