The discussion here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/463026 suggests that this problem may be caused by the location of your My Documents folder, and if that's the case, you should be able to point this to a local directory, install Reader, and then have it point back to the network location. My Documents redirects to \\SERVER\USERS\USERNAME. Error message that My Documents contains an invalid character. Like TS7, if the user logged in was a Domain Admin, this error did not occur. The difference between a Domain Admin and a Domain User? In my case, The Domain Admin has rights to the USERS folder I listed in the My Documents redirection path. A Domain User does not. A Domain User has full rights ONLY to their User Folder (The USERNAME) part. By giving the Domain Users READ access to the USERS folder (only that folder) the error went away. Apparently even though the user had full rights to their user folder, the fact that they didn't have any rights to the USERS folder in the path was causing the issue. (at least in my case). Hope this helps. It looks like you've installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro first and then install Adobe Creative Suite 5 (CS5). This kind of error can be fixed by using Microsoft FixIt. But, before you install the Microsoft FixIt you have to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4 first. To install Microsoft FixIt you might need internet connection. If you got an error while installing the Framework 4 probably you have install the Framework 2 and 3 first. After you've done with the FixIt don't close the window before you try to install the Adobe or programs you need to install.
