Adobe Reader Erreur 109
Acrobat 3 Replies Latest reply on Jul 9, 2014 11:40 PM by FieryPantone "Error 109" in files returned by customer FieryPantone Jul 9, 2014 6:48 AM My workflow uses FM10 and Acrobat Pro to create .pdfs for sending out to clients. Just had a 'phone call from someone saying he can't open the pdf error 109 fix .pdfs any more, even though he's been using them for a while. Acrobat Pro X brings up the bookmarks list, but then displays the message "There was an error processing this page. There was a problem reading this document (109)."Any idea where the problem lies and what to do about it? I suspect it may be file-corruption at the client's end, but I'd welcome confirmation before telling him so! 28778Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 3 replies 1. Re: "Error 109" in files returned by customer Bill@VT Jul 9, 2014 7:23 AM (in response to FieryPantone) Did you send these PDFs by e-mail? If so, did you check to be sure they were encoded? Sometimes e-mail clients see PDFs as text and they are not, they are binary. A few years ago there were also issues with Outlook treating PDFs incorrectly, even if properly sent. I don't remember the details

and get help from the community. How can I fix this error? there was a problem reading this document 109 adobe acrobat "The document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (109)" We are using PDF files object label badly formatted pdf for our reporting system. We are using Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) to generate the PDF files. I am running on Windows 7 using Microsoft SQL 2012. I've installed the following SQL https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1518043 hot fix that fixed issues with generating some PDF files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2645648.I am using Adobe Reader XI version 11.0.06.70 to view the PDFs. When the user wants to view a report we copy the PDF file to the user's temporary directory and open Adobe Reader (or whatever is the registered PDF viewer) to view the report. If the user wants to keep a copy https://answers.acrobatusers.com/How-can-I-fix-this-error-The-document-could-not-be-saved-There-was-a-problem-reading-this-document-109-q145927.aspx of the report they do a Save As and save wherever they want. The file being in the temporary directory is not part of the issue. It is a problem wherever the file is located. With a small percentage of the reports, they always get the error trying to save the document. I haven't been able to determine any differences in the reports that work or don't work. I've looked all over the internet but haven't found any answer besides "download the file again". This doesn't work. I've tried another PDF viewer and Save As works fine.I would love to be able to solve this or at least determine if it is an Adobe or Microsoft issue. I would love to send a PDF file that has this issue so we can move forward with finding a solution. At this point we are going to tell our customers to install and use the alternate PDF viewer. AM by Edwin J. Hoffer A file on the system is vulnerably delicate. It can get damaged due to inconsistency in system software, hardware, or issues with the application using which it is created. http://pdf-tips.blogspot.com/2014/11/acrobat-error-109-while-reading-pdf-file.html Adobe Acrobat PDF file can get damaged due to variety of reasons and here we are going to discuss one amongst those. Problem: "I have Adobe Acrobat 6 Standard. I received some documents in the form of http://www.telerik.com/forums/pdf-document-object-error-on-save PDF files through emails. The PDF was fine till opening and filling the required fields but when I tried to save it, an error flashed on screen stating "The Document could not be saved. There was adobe reader an error reading this document (109)". After this I am unable to save the changes made to the PDF file." Discussion: The problem shared above will not be encountered by the user when the PDF file is opened. Reason being, Adobe Acrobat or Reader ignores small issues with the file and display its content. However, when the user tries to save the changes made to the file, it checks out for any issue and pdf error 109 responds to it through message. To get detailed information about the error, hold down the CTRL key and click on the error message (this idea works perfectly for any kind of error reverted by PDF file). Nevertheless, the error itself does not manifest the actual problem! To get more information about the PDF document, go to ‘File' menu and choose ‘Document Information'. This will give data like which application is used to generate the PDF file or if the files are modified using any non-Adobe application. Although, it's possible (generally, unlikely to happen) that the PDF file is opened with an older version of Acrobat or the Reader. Since, with every new release, features are added to the Adobe where possibility is the PDF specifications do get changed. Such issues may cause a PDF file inconsistent. Basically, Adobe publishes PDF specifications using which anybody can create a PDF document. But the PDF spec consists of around 1100 pages and is very complex. So, the possibility is whoever created the PDFlib has made an error that is interrupting smooth functioning of PDF. There are chances that the developers have tested the PDF file with lower edition and opening it with a higher edition is causing problem. Solution: Inconsistency in smooth functioning of an application can happen due to variety of rea

Users are able to view the documents in Adobe Acrobat, but unable to save them to their local disk -- upon clicking the Save As... and choosing a location, they receive an error that states: "The document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (109)." When I do a Ctrl-Click to get the details from Adobe, it tells me the following: "Object label badly formatted." We have tested this with a couple of different reports and they all behave identically. One of our developers rolled back to the Q1 version and the issue disappears. Is this a bug in the system, perhaps something that we are doing causing this or any other suggestions? (Note, I have examples of the same report from both Q1 and Q2 but cannot upload a PDF here). Thanks, Adam Steve Admin 10941 posts Posted 03 Nov 2010 Link to this post Hello Adam, Actually this is the first time somebody reports this error and it is not directly related to our product. A quick search shows this error from articles dating back to Acrobat 6 and in most cases it proves to be related with printer drivers. So in this line of thoughts, the downgrade to Q1 which works fine is very strange. Anyway try upgrading the drivers on your printer and if the problem persists, prepare a sample run
