I have installed on my Windows XP Professional SP3 Adobe Reader 9.5.0. The updater have notified me that AR XI was available, i have https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/fix-install-download-reader.html tried to install it, but soon i received the notice "Installation not successful - Error: null". I've tried with many solutions to solve it: disinstalling first the 9.5.0 version (using Revo Pro Uninstaller) e try again. Then i've tried by downloading manually the XI version (i usually use Chrome as browser, but i have tried also with I:E:8 and tried also by saving first the .exe file and running it in a second time). https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1209786 In this case, the Adobe installer progress bar goes till the end and says "Installation succesful", but AR XI is not really installed (no folder in C/Program/Adobe named "Adobe XI" was created, and i can't open any PDF file at all). I've re-installed 9.5.0. version, and tried to install the XI once again (both manually e by the uploder), but the result was the same: or "Installation not succesful - Error: null" (updater), or a "fake""Installation succesful" (manually). Fortunately, the 9.5.0 keeps on working, but i should like to know why the XI version does not. Thank you.
