error while copying to the Clipboard. An internal error occurred. jglamas Dec 20, 2011 8:17 PM Well, this question has been on for a long time but everyone seems to ignore it, so I'll just give it another shot.I get this error when trying to copy something. Most of the time, if i ignore the error I can still find it adobe reader x crashes when printing in the clipboard.Sometimes I'm lucky and it doesn't happen (using the same document), so this clears that it has no copyright protection.Yesterday I worked all day on a document with no problems, but today I'm losing a lot of time dealing with the problem and trying to fix it. (hope this clears that I have all software up to date and no plugins missing)The thing is that I often work on asian character texts and ignoring the error does no good because all I have left in the clipboard is junk data (an example of copied text: ‘¾—zŒõ"“dƒVƒXƒeƒ€‚ÌLCA)If I try to copy again, sometimes it works (I have to try from 3 up to more than 15 times though), but I will get the error when I try copying the next word.I really doubt there's an instant solution for this, so all I'm asking is for you to stop ignoring this issue and try to release an update with a fix for this before people start switching to other programs.Pretty please??Thank youP.S.As you can see, no answersince 2008http://forums.adobe.com/message/1171929#

I've been reading a lot of ebooks in PDF format so it wasn't long before I noticed that when you copy text in Adobe Reader (or any other kind of PDF reader like Foxit https://forums.adobe.com/thread/940192 Reader), it copies the hard returns so if you copy more than one line of text, each line of text is treated like its own paragraph. The Problem This is what it looks like in Adobe Reader. This is what happens when you copy that text and paste it into Microsoft Word. Still good, right? But what if I want to change the font size? Here I http://www.onehourprogramming.com/blog/2010/9/1/fix-copy-and-pasting-in-pdfs.html changed the font size of the first two lines to 8-pt. Now you should see the problem quite clearly; in its infinite wisdom, Adobe Reader inserts hard returns instead of soft returns. In other words, Adobe Reader is essentially pressing "Enter/Return" after every line instead of automatically "word wrapping" the text to fit the window size. If this sounds absurdly idiotic, that's because it is. At first I didn't know that was the problem until I found this guy's blog post in a Google search. To give you an idea of how basic "word wrap" is, Notepad has it. I know I'm not the only one who's had this problem, and someone even wrote a Word macro. I haven't tried the macro but it only works with Microsoft Word and it seems overly complicated (it uses well over 100 lines of code and requires a detailed step-by-step installation and usage guide; my script just works out of the box and only uses five nine lines of code (I added support for other PDF readers) [The latest version uses quite a few lines of code, but the vast majority of it is just to add some "nice-to-have" features, especially the automatic quote appending]. I love this program. I've come up on a few issues when copying from Adobe, and unfortunately due to business restrictions I am unable to use adobe reader a different PDF viewer/editor. I have my macro clicking around in an open PDF with request data and then copying fields into variables and from there using those variables to complete this request in another system.Adobe has an issue where if you copy from it, every now and then you'll get an error message (with the "info chatbox" icon) that says " There was an error while copying to the Clipboard. An internal adobe reader x error occurred. "The thing is, what I was attempting to copy HAS copied. The problem is that the Adobe popup has occured which is interrupting my macro. Two questions:1. Is there a quicker/easier way to get fields from within a PDF in Adobe or with default windows programs than just opening the PDF with Adobe and clicking on the field I need til it's highlighted and hitting Control and C?2. If not, is there a way I can have another autohotkey script or a check before each copy that this window is not open, and if it is, to close it? Perhaps a way to check within the Visible Window Text if that error message is being shown and if so close that window? Here is the AutoIt3 Window Spy of the window.
