After Effects Error An Output Module Stopped Responding
Jul 10, 2013 7:03 PM Hi, I tried my best to find this answer on the forums but couldn't find anything current.I have isolated two issues in AE CC where I can duplicate a failed render with this message: After Effects error: Rendering error while writing file "xxx". An output module failed. The file may be damaged or corrupted. (-1610153464)This happens output module failed after effects cc when opening an AE CS6 project and trying to render a simple comp with only one text layer and a moving mask. It also just happened after my first round trip test with Cinema 4D. I could RAM preview the c4d layer but the output to Quicktime h.264 failed.I have even tried a full reinstall of AE CC. I have the basic FxFactory Pro plugins and MagicBullet Looks installed, but neither are being used since this is a single 1280x720 comp with a single C4D layer. Plus like I said it failed with the same error in past CS6 files.I don't know how to force disable a plugin to test that, but I can't see how an unused plugin could cause a render to fail like this.I'm on a new (late 2012) 27" iMac3.4 GHz Intel Core i78GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX with 2GB VRAMOS X 10.8.4AE CC 12.0.0.404CUDA driver 5.0.59Thanks for any suggestions!Matt 23460Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Follow us: 3 Common After Effects Errors and How to Fix Them After Effects Motion Design Video Editing by Kavon Zamanian October 14, 2015 after effects error 1610153453 0 share Spending hours to solve an error in After Effects can be a frustrating waste of time. To save you the stress, here are 3 common After Effects errors and how you can fix them. Few things are as discouraging as https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1252092 pouring over endless forum threads in hope of discovering a solution to a stubborn error within a program. Sometimes the solution is surprisingly simple, but you can often find yourself desperately entering places in your computer you didn't even know existed in search of answers. Here are a few After Effects errors, both simple and complex, that we found most frequently troubled AE users in the past few years. 1. "Files Are Missing Since You Last Saved the Project" This is by https://www.rocketstock.com/blog/3-common-after-effects-errors-and-how-to-fix-them/ far the most prevalent error message in After Effects. Luckily, it's a simple issue with a simple solution. If files imported into your project have changed location on your computer, or the project file has been moved, After Effects will often lose track of their location. Relocate Your Missing Files: To relocate your files, navigate to the Project tab and type in the search term "Missing." This will show all the files that are currently missing, as indicated by a Television Color Bars thumbnail. Right click on each file, and select "Replace Footage > File." Select the file from its new location, and it will instantly be restored to the project. Repeat this process for each missing file. If there are multiple missing files in the same location, you will only need to replace one of them. The rest will automatically update once After Effects recognizes the new location. Prevent Lost Files with "Collect Files" Feature: This issue tends to occur most often when opening a project on a new computer. To prevent this from occuring, you can save your project as a folder that includes all necessary files with the project file. Just go to File > Dependencies > Collect Files. Make sure the "Collect Source Files" dropdown menu is set to "All" and that the "Generate Report Only" checkbox is not checked, then click "Collect." 2. "Output Module Failed" [H.264] Before delving int

An output module failed. The file may be damaged or corrupted. (-161-153464).I see a lot of suggestions for limiting the number of processors by using "msconfig" to change the after effects "boot" file. This seems like a poor solution because it affects how all other programs use the processors.Does anyone have any other help on how to resolve this without reducing processors ?Thanks, for any help.
