Symptom The full error message is as follows:
RqWordServices: Automation Error. A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed (RqWordServices.WordWrapper, 736, -2147023782)
Cause This is a result of a DLL named ScrBlock.dll being called when ReqPro attempts to launch Word. This DLL is a part of the Symantec suite, and is located in the
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Script Blocking
folder. Diagnosing the problem In order to determine whether or not this is the problem you are running into, download and run FileMon from Microsoft when launching Word from ReqPro. If you see the following entries in the FileMon log, then ScrBlock.dll is preventing ReqPro from launching Word: Resolving the problem This issue has been resolved by adding RequisitePro.exe to the exclusion list of your anti-virus software. Additionally, a re-install of RequisitePro might be necessary while the virus software is disabled. Details on this procedure will vary from vendor to vendor, however the RequisitePro.exe is located in C:\Program Files\Rational\RequisitePro\bin. It will need to be added to any exclusion list used by your anti-virus software.
