These links are http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21245234 used to generate emails messages which can be sent to people informing them about something. If the users workstation (normally Windows XP) is setup such that Lotus Notes is the default mail client when a user goes to the web page (using IE or other browsers) and clicks on the link a new memo is generaged in Lotus Notes with the information specified in the link with the mailto. http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/e5f5333619f2996885256a220009508f/cff9950dc29cbc4d85257194004cc315 The problem arises based on the lenght of the information passed with the mailto reference. If the link is too long the user gets an error message "Error processing command line arguments." The error does not occur when the mail client is set to something other than Lotus Notes. Here are some examples of links and their results: 1. This link errors out mailto test1 2. This link works since it is shorter. mailto test2 3. This link is as long as it can be and not error out. As the link indicates in notes the 7 in the body does not actually appear in the memo, but no error is generated in this case. this link missing 7 on end but no error 4. This link is the same as the one above except it adds one more character and now it error
