Posted by Kevin Meuer on 21.Jun.06 at 09:58 AM using a Web browserCategory: Notes ClientRelease: 7.0Platform: Windows 2000; Windows XP We have a webpage (not using Domino) within our company which has https://community.sdl.com/solutions/language/translationproductivity/f/90/t/4952 links on it, which use mailto. These links are used to generate emails messages which can be sent to people informing them about something. If the users workstation (normally Windows XP) is setup such that Lotus Notes is the default mail client when a user goes to the web page (using IE or other browsers) and clicks on the link a new memo is http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/e5f5333619f2996885256a220009508f/cff9950dc29cbc4d85257194004cc315 generaged in Lotus Notes with the information specified in the link with the mailto. The problem arises based on the lenght of the information passed with the mailto reference. If the link is too long the user gets an error message "Error processing command line arguments." The error does not occur when the mail client is set to something other than Lotus Notes. Here are some examples of links and their results: 1. This link errors out mailto test1 2. This link works since it is shorter. mailto test2 3. This link is as long as it can be and not error out. As the link indicates in notes the 7 in the body does not actually appear in the memo, but no error is generated in this case. https://scn.sap.com/thread/352835 and MaintenanceCommerceOverviewSubscription Billing and Revenue ManagementMaster https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=219439 Data Management for CommerceOmnichannel CommerceFinanceOverviewAccounting and Financial CloseCollaborative Finance OperationsEnterprise Risk and ComplianceFinancial Planning and AnalysisTreasury and Financial Risk ManagementHuman ResourcesOverviewCore Human Resources and PayrollHuman Capital AnalyticsTalent command line ManagementTime and Attendance ManagementManufacturingOverviewManufacturing NetworkManufacturing OperationsResponsive ManufacturingMarketingOverviewMarket with Speed and AgilityUnique Customer ExperiencesReal-Time Customer InsightsR&D/EngineeringOverviewDesign NetworkDesign OrchestrationProject and Portfolio ManagementSalesOverviewCollaborative Quote to CashSales Force AutomationSales Performance ManagementSelling Through Contact CentersServiceOverviewEfficient Field Service ManagementOmnichannel Customer command line arguments ServiceTransparent Service Process and OperationsSourcing and ProcurementOverviewContingent Workforce ManagementDirect ProcurementSelf-Service ProcurementServices ProcurementStrategic Sourcing and Supplier ManagementSupply ChainOverviewDemand ManagementDemand NetworkLogistics NetworkManufacturing Planning and SchedulingResponse NetworkResponse and Supply ManagementSales, Inventory, and Operations PlanningTransportation ManagementWarehouse ManagementSustainabilityOverviewEnvironment, Health, and SafetyProduct Safety and Stewardship NetworkBrowse by IndustryAerospace and DefenseAutomotiveBankingChemicalsConsumer ProductsDefense and SecurityEngineering, Construction, and OperationsHealthcareHigh TechHigher Education and ResearchIndustrial Machinery and ComponentsInsuranceLife SciencesMediaMill ProductsMiningOil and GasProfessional ServicesPublic SectorRetailSports and EntertainmentTelecommunicationsTravel and TransportationUtilitiesWholesale DistributionBrowse Platform and TechnologyAnalyticsOverviewBusiness IntelligencePredictive AnalyticsGovernance, Risk, and ComplianceEnterprise Performance ManagementApplication Platform and InfrastructureOverviewApplication PlatformContent and CollaborationInterface ManagementProcess Management and IntegrationData ManagementOverviewBig Data on HadoopData WarehousingDatabase ManagementEnterprise Information ManagementIT ManagementOverviewApplication Lifecycle ManagementIT Inf
