They usually boil down to run configure: ./configure then run make: make and if you want to install the programs in a system area, run: sudo make install The configure step should search out the necessary parts (g++) and complain and stop if necesary parts are not found. It builds the Makefile from the information about your system. I had no issues with the downloaded package, but then again, I do have the build-essential package installed for what I do. g++ gets installed into /usr/bin, which should be a normal part of your PATH. share|improve this answer edited Feb 10 '15 at 17:56 answered Feb 8 '15 at 18:10 ubfan1 5,42331322 i have installed g++ package but still it shows same problem. if you want the link for the software i am trying to install then let me know thank you –Jasmeen Patel Feb 10 '15 at 13:15 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email

I tried lots of ways to add arm-linux-gcc but they still recognize this. im using ubuntu 11.10 and tiny6410 board. error 127 all resources are copied from the CD davef 2012-04-16 21:05:13 Did this work for you: Check the tool-chain path to see if it is set up correctly or not, whether it show gcc version 4.5.1 # arm-linux-gcc –v help me 2012-04-17 00:12:39 yep, I alreaady did that. And it does not work... make error 127 I know it must show version but it does not recognize this. I also typed arm- and tab twice, and it does not show arm-linux-gcc. So, they dont recognize stuffs in bin file. davef 2012-04-17 00:39:18 At the command line try: export PATH=/path/to/your/cross-compiler/bin:$PATH and then followed immediately by: # arm-linux-gcc –v Actually, when you try to manually find the path to your cross-compiler you will find it is not installed or your bashrc thing didn't work.
