I'm learning to make Firefox extensions and am following the directions here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20987264/mingw-msys-make-error-2-and-error-127 https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/Overlay_Extensions/XUL_School/Setting_Up_a_Development_Environment?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=XUL%2FSchool_tutorial%2FSetting_Up_a_Development_Environment Instead of using Cygwin, I downloaded MinGW and installed "mingw-developer-toolkit", "mingw32-base", and "msys-base". I unzip the HelloWorld2 file. I run msys.bat, navigate to src in HelloWorld2, and type make. This is my error. What's happening? How do I fix this? Creating XPI file. make: zip: Command not found make: *** [../bin/xulschoolhello2.xpi] Error 127 I also tried doing the same thing through cmd.exe. I followed directions from How to use GNU Make on Windows? and http://www.mingw.org/wiki/Getting_Started When I enter "make" from cmd, I get the following... So, in this semester I got this new subject where we get to work with Discovery STM32 F4, and we are still in the phase of setting it up. But I have this problem in the beginning. When I try to compile this "blink" code I get this error: Error 127 So, as I got it so far, we are using this shortcut command "make" to compile code, and we were given instruction to set it make error 127 up as it's shown in images below: setup Can anyone see what's the problem here? gcc share|improve this question edited Apr 1 at 21:04 Filburt 10.2k73265 asked Apr 1 at 20:59 Emir 153 It can't find/execute arm-none-eabi-gcc (presumably the gcc compiler for that device) at the specified location. I've shown in second image ls of the directory where arm-none-eabi-gcc should be, and it's listed there. –Emir Apr 1 at 21:08 And also, gcc -v returns: No such file or directory –Emir Apr 1 at 21:08 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted Error 127 means one of two things: file not found: the path you're using is incorrect. double check that the program is actually in your $PATH, or in this case, the relative path is correct -- remember that the current working directory for a random terminal might not be the same for the IDE you're using. it might be better to just use an absolute path instead. ldso is not found: you're using a pre-compiled binary and it wants an interpreter that isn't on your system. maybe you're using an x86_64 (64-bi

One thing I notice is that your CC=/usr/local/bin/gcc, did you install your own version of gcc there? If you are trying to use the pre-installed version you can set CC=gcc, assuming you have it installed. The key error to read is: make: /usr/local/bin/gcc: Command not found meaning make cannot find the executable /usr/local/bin/gcc http://fe
