Obviously not, otherwise you would not have marked my post irrelevant. It only shows your lack of understanding of where MPEG2 come from. You disappoint me Jeff. Like Show 0 Likes(0)

I opened one of my projects from CC 2015, and one of my videos can't be re-linked. Premiere CS6 cann't import MPEG2 files Hi, Whenever I try to import MPEG2 videos in to Adobe Premiere CS6, I get the following error: "There was an error decompressing Audio or Video…." Doe's anybody know what is the reason for that? Thanks! Solutions 1: If you are using Windows 7, you can easily fix this issue by http://digisns.com/2016/04/import-mpeg2-to-premiere-pro-cc-cs6-2015/ taking the following steps: Go to Task Manager on your windows 7 (CTRL+SHIFT KEY+Esc), in processes tab check the box which says "show all processes from users" . Once done close all the processes of Adobe found in processes tab. After this please go to documents folder and rename Adobe folder(s) as Old_Adobe. Then Click on start button and in Search program and files box type %appdata%, this will take you to Roaming folder. In this rename the Adobe folder as old_Adobe. Restart your machine. Launch Premiere Pro>Sign in and then check the behavior. Solution 2: If solution 1 can't fix your problem, then your problem may be caused due to some incompatible codec issue. The the only solution for you is to encode MPEG-2 files to Premiere Pro CS6/CC 2015 preset profile formats, here is a solution in hand called Pavtube Video Converter, which helps to directly transcode MPEG-2 to Premiere Pro CS6/CC 2015 specially optimized file format with the best output video and audio quality. Apart from the basic video converting function, the program also provides some beneficial but simple video edit

I have re-installed the OS, installed premier cs6 again. But this time it is reporting error in importing same video files. Video files are in mpg format and they are well running directly. ERROR : "There was an error decompressing audio or video." EDIT: Somewhere I found that SysWOW64/quartz.dll is required to tell OS about mpg files. This file is installed via directx. I am surprised error decompressing audio that directx was already installed but the file was missing. And when I installed same OS on my different machine quartz.dll was there. Well!! I copied the dll to my this machine and registered it. Still the problem persist. I also have installed K-lite codec pack and Media info. But :( As an alternative solution, I linked mp4 files in my premier project. But they don't run smooth in adobe which makes video editing impossible. Please help me to run mpg files in adobe premier. adobe-premiere share|improve this question edited Oct 13 '13 at 2:43 asked Oct 6 '13 at 16:38 Amit Gupta 202721 It can be codec problem. Try installing codecs, such as K-Lite Codec pack. And tell us if it worked :) –Jet Oct 6 '13 at 16:40 It must be because it is able to import mp4 files. But I have installed K-lite Codec pack, Media info. Nothing works. And I am able to run mpg files directly. –Amit Gupta Oct 6 '13 at 16:44 it seems that quartz.dll is missing. But when I check DirextX version, it says it is installed and it is v11. :( –Amit Gupta Oct 6 '13 at 17:46 Have you downloaded quartz.dll and placed it on program's folder? –Jet Oct 6 '13 at 20:31 1 Have you REGISTERED (not
working, capturing as MP3> Adobe premiere pro Capture not working, capturing as MP3 Tags: capture Adobe Premiere Apps Macbook Pro export Sony Last response: September 16, 2013 5:00 AM in Apps General Discussion Share mojo333 June 9, 2013 3:33:47 PM So I'm using Premiere pro CS6 to capture video from my Sony-Z1 to my Macbook pro using a firewire cable. I've captured hundreds of clips recently in 1080i (HDV), but recently the settings changed and whenever I capture for a start: When I capture, no logging pop-up comes up which is unusual for me, the file actually shows up as MP3 when usually it converts into an mpeg, the MP3 is un-openable and nothing happens when I change the file extension. I have checked numerous fourms and everyone says it's something to do with being HDV or not, but I have recorded in HDV for ages and the settings on Adobe are correct. It's only now that it has gone weird. If anyone has any suggestions please say because I really need to export these clips fast. If yes, can you tell me the settings you are using? m 0 l Eve_Labeque September 11, 2013 6:38:26 AM Hi I'm having the same problem please help... I'm using Project Setting of HDV and Sequence Settings of DVCProHD HD1080i 50 (this says it is the preset for Panasonic P2 cameras, mine is Sony as above but I have no other generic HDV settings). The video plays through the Capture window fine and looks like it is capturing as .mp3 When I stop the capture the file does not appear in the Project window as I think it should. I've gone to File > Import to bring the file back in. It is there but when I do this there is a File Import Failure message saying "there was an error decompressing audio and video" Any help would be great I need to export the video as soon as possible.
