Reading error. C:". It did not detect it as a virus, but as an error. I'm not sure what this could be, or how to go about fixing it (atleast I'm hoping it can be fixed ). What does this mean, and what could, or will, eventually happen because of this? How can this be fixed? Also, last night I experienced several blue http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101381 screens. So many that I had to just go ahead and manually shut down the computer. These blue screens were the kind that "stretch" onto the screen. (Sorry, I can't think of any other way to describe them) And, just a little over two hours ago I experienced yet another blue screen. This one appearing on the screen "normally", no stretching. This time I was able to close all windows and restart the computer from the Start menu. A few months ago I ran a quickrestore on the computer (for several reasons, including freeze ups, bluescreens, etc.). One reason being the computer shutting down in the middle of startup. Perhaps the bluescreens are related in some way to the error? I am equally concerned about both (computer problems rattle me greatly), and I need someone of higher computer knowledge to give me a diagnosis. Please. My computer is a Microsoft Windows 98 computer. And, please be aware that "You need to buy a new computer", is not really a helpful answer. If I could afford a new computer, I would get one. Help will be very much appreciated. There is nothing you need to do on your end. This ESET KB Article may explain some of the entries you're seeing there. The same would apply to the "Error Reading" messages.
