import file:Invalid group code This does not appear to be error opening autocad import file sketchup a valid Autocad DWG or DXF file or the file is write protected' The file is dwg and is not write protected, so does anyone have an answer to why this is happening? Many thanks to anyone who knows about this. A lot of files I have do this and a lot import in fine, it is a strange one!! Hoo! my 1st post error opening Join Date 2011-04 Posts 1 Trouble opening an invalid DWG Hello there, I know this is a subject which has come up many times before and I have gone through all the threads regarding recovering corrupted dwg but none of them has worked. Error message is Invalid drawing file, tried recover, inserting into an empty drawing, converting to a dxf and then back to DWG, none of these work. I unfortunately do not error opening autocad have a back up file. Is there anything else I can try or is this just a bad dwg.
