Error Opening Port For Mgr Mgr (connection Refused)
new computer does not have a serial port. I bought a Prolific USB to Serial comm port converter, and set it to emulate port 1 in the Device Mangaer. I can see the device under "Ports (COM & LPT)", but I get a Girder error "Cannot open Comport". I have searched the forum, and found some posts about similar devices, but didn't find anything that helped me. Any help getting the Girder to see the device would be appreciated. Try using a different serial device with a program other than girder. If you have problems with that, then it's the com port that's not working right.
