Topic: "Fatal error 306 occurred: Error opening data source" Tags: Hi, Despite that my DTSs run fine manually in Scribe Workbench and I have set up in the Scribe Console Security settings to provide acces to all folders in my Integration server, still the related Integration processes I created to run these DTDs time out after three (3) attempts and in the Console's "Alert Log" I see the messages "Fatal error 306 occurred: Error opening data source (My source database)". I verified that in my DTSs "ODBC data Sources" is selected the correct source connection andits settings are correct. Please advise how to solve this problem. Thanks, Pavel Tomov Posted by Pavel T on Mar 29, 2012 07:47PM Hi Pavel, What is the datasource you are trying to connect to? This likely runs in the Workbench, because the user you are logged into Windows with has permissions to this data source - however, the user running your 5 Scribe services (Console) does not. Please ensure that the user running your services has the correct permissions to access that data

I have the latest Twain driver, and have removed the scanner from the device manager, and reinstalled the driver, but still get the error message. I've also made sure to try to error opening acquire the scanner in the programs I use (Photoshop Elements, etc.), but when I do that, I get the same error message. The only recent changes I've made have been to install a few games and a Logitech game controller for my nephew. Since installing those, I've used the scanner, so I haven't uninstalled the games and controller yet. When I turn the scanner on, it appears to start up just like it always error opening data has. I've done a search on Google, but couldn't find much info. I'm hoping someone will be able to help me figure this out.
