It is likely that something bad is going on. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-software-2/error-opening-dev-wacom-no-such-file-or-directory-488725/ Waiting for 2 minutes before trying again on display :0.". It can be solved if I reboot and hope that this doesn't happen in the next time. I've been facing this problem since I upgraded to dapper 2 days ago. I have the tools installed, and the output of the configuration is confusing, i.e. I see errors but also success in the same entry! So...I have no idea if it is installed correctly or not. I suspect it is not, as VMware still says "Your version of VMware tools is out of date" and also I cannot go above 800x600 in X. Here is the output from the last time I tried to configure VMWare tools:X Window System Version 7.1.1Release Date: 12 May 2006X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 7.1.1Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.15.7 x86_64 Current Operating System: Linux ubuntu 2.6.17-10-generic #2 SMP Fri Oct 13 15:34:39 UTC 2006 x86_64Build Date: 07 July 2006 Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org to make sure that you have the latest version.Module Loader presentMarkers: (--) probed, (**) from config file, (==) default setting, (++) from command line, (!!) notice, (II) informational, (WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.(++) Log file: "/tmp/vmware-config3/XF86ConfigLog.14638", Time: Fri Aug 31 11:34:15 2007(++) Using config file: "/tmp/vmware-config3/XF86Config.14638"(EE) Failed to load module "void" (module does not exist, 0)(EE) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI capableerror opening security policy file /usr/lib/xserver/SecurityPolicy(EE) No Input driver matching `void'(EE) No Input driver matching `void'(EE) No Input driver matching `void'(EE) No Input driver matching `void' xkb_keycodes \{ include "xfree86+aliases(qwerty)" }; xkb_types \{ include "complete" }; xkb_compatibility \{ include "complete" }; xkb_symbols \{ include "pc(pc105)uslevel3(ralt_switch)" }; xkb_geometry \{ include "pc(pc105)" };The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:Warning: Type "ONE_LEVEL" has 1 levels, but
