Because UI in PB isn't the nicest possible, I try to use coolmenu and API tooltips to make it a little better. Lately I've noticed such a problem with "SendMessageA" function. I use it for some actions. In every action the last parameter is of another type. That's why I have many aliases for that function. For example: Function uLong AddToolbarStringA( uLong hwnd, uInt msg, uLong wparam, Ref char lparam[] ) library "user32.dll" Alias For SendMessageA;Ansi" or: Function integer ToolTipMsg(long hWnd, long uMsg, long wParam, REF TOOLINFO ToolInfo) library "user32.dll" Alias For SendMessageA;Ansi" and many other aliases that have no "string" parameters. Some of you may know the lines - that's the standard use of coolmenu and tooltips. When the action affects sending a string as a parameter (for example setting a tooltip text for a control or adding toolbar button with text), I become an error "Error calling external function %s at line...". Function name exactly as I write - "%s". And in every case the message is the same (the line number differs of course). Firstly, it didn't bother me much, because the problem existed only on Vista and PB doesn't support Vista. I thought maybe it's because of that fact. But yesterday I've seen such an error under Windows XP too. It's hard to repeat it, but it happens from time to time. Other aliases work fine, only these with strings make problems. Under Vista there is a place in my code, where i become an error in 98% c

Using python I have created two separate executable functions to run these. When using PowerBuilder to call the function, the first executable runs fine. The second executable results in a runtime error: error calling external function %s. I use a .def http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7260545/calling-external-function-from-dll-with-powerbuilder-10-0-error file and have the correct ordinals for each function. Any advice? The function declarations in C are as follows (sorry they are quite long): extern "C" int __stdcall start_proctor( double points[], double weights[], double opoints[], double &SG, char sg_estimated[], double &smooth, char ptitle[], double &pheight, double &pwidth, char save_location[], int &show, int &ZV, char roundM[], char roundD[], int &zoom, char cwd[], int &x_scale_major_tick,int &y_scale_major_tick, char points_of[], char points_color[], char points_type[], int &points_size, char curve_of[], char curve_color[], int &curve_alpha, int &curve_size, char grid_of[], char grid_color[], int &grid_alpha, int &grid_x_dash, int &grid_y_dash, char opt_of[], char opt_color[], int &opt_alpha, int &opt_x_dash, int &opt_y_dash, int &x_scale_major_tick_c, int &y_scale_major_tick_c, char points_of_c[], char points_color_c[], char points_type_c[], int &points_size_c, char curve_of_c[], char curve_color_c[], int &curve_alpha_c, int &curve_size_c, char grid_of_c[], char grid_color_c[], int &grid_alpha_c, int &grid_x_dash_c, int &grid_y_dash_c, char opt_of_c[], char opt_color_c[], int &opt_alpha_c, int &opt_x_dash_c, int &opt_y_dash_c, int &return_default, int &splash, double &optmoisture, double &maxdd, double &percent_oversized, double &o_SG , double &o_moisture, double &o_optmoisture, double &o_maxdd, int &oversized_flag, int &debug, char c_output[] ); extern "C" int __stdcall start_grain_size( char dsn_name[], char userID[], char passwd[], double test_data[], int &td_length, double upper_bound[], int &ub_length, double lower_bound[], int &lb_length, char envelope[], char specification[], char pointmarker

I installed PC client components 15.0 of the Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise. This effectively installed 1)interactive sql, 2)open client configuration utility, 3)open client directory service editor and 4)sybase central v4.3 on my PC. 2. I then installed 'ASE ISQL' 3. I ran the error opening dll copylibs.bat file in the folder C:\sybase\OCS-15_0\scripts, with parameter 'create'. The information generated include five messages of "1 file(s) copied." and two messages of "The system cannot find the file specified". 4. As I launch 'ASE ISQL' from the Start menu, two error messages were shown: 1) "The procedure entry point ct_ds_objinfo could not be located in the dynamic link library libct.dll." 2) "System error #14 has occurred: Error opening DLL library syb_exec.dll for external function at line 20 in function of_options of object n_config_ase. Object: n_config_ase; Script: of_options; Line: 20. Do you want to continue?" What is the expected output? What do you see instead? What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Windows XP for ASE ISQL, Windows XP for the sybase central v4.3, UNIX for sybase ASE v 15. Please provide any additional information below. I appreciate your reply!
