Running a Fresh Install of Ubuntu 6.06 LTS and looking at /var/log/Xorg.0.log: (II) Initializing built-in extension XEVIE error opening security policy file /etc/X11/xserver/SecurityPolicy (**) Option "CoreKeyboard" The file "SecurityPolicy" should be in the directory "/etc/X11/xserver/" but the directory does not exist. Copying the file from "/usr/share/doc/examples/SecurityPolicy" solves the problem. I am no longer able to use vncviewer to connect to it from my window box anymore. There is no firewall and Selinux configured on this redhat box. I can ping it from my windows box and can ssh into it.
