The file is about 7.3 G. I want to burn it onto a DVD+R DL. (Yes, it is error opening a Verbatim disc.) The files have re-encoded and DVD Flick has authored the DVD, but it won't burn. ImgBurn gives an error message that it can't find a place for a layer break. It tells me where the break should be and mentions something about splitting the cell. For me, this is uncharted territory. What has happened and how can I correct it? I realize that I could run it through DVD Shrink to get it smaller, but I'm afraid that the quality error opening file will really be bad, after that. Never fill a dual layer disk near capacity. I make it never past 90% of full size, this way lots of extra space to pad for a break. Try DVDShrink on it....should be ok at 90% size. The flash video quality is probably not great to begin with so reducing it to 4.7GB won't matter. Of course their needs to be a layer break right in the middle involved to get it to burn properly. But if the VOB files containing the movie are too big, then it wont be able to layer break, and so you encoded for nothing. In commercial DVD's they split up the VOB files for each Chapter of the movie. Something like what would make the layer break easy. In CX2D, even if you have 5 min or 15 min chapters it still leaves the whole movie in one giant VOB file. This makes layer break impossible. I cant think of other programs that can cut these VOB files into pieces without messing up the original encode. But perhaps their might be an option somewhere in CX2D that will cut these video VOB files into pieces per chapter like in commercial DVD that its easier to layer break or at least make them into a couple separate VOB files. Is their an option to make the end result VOB files smaller to create an easier Layer Break in C2XD? Ive been trying to get a couple of projects done to DVD-DL so that I could free space for more files on my PC since its almost filled. I have only been able to get 1 project done like this because it had a bunch of small episodes (24) in the project, so it was easier to layer break. These ones I have a problem with are 3 movies in 1 projects, and it cant layer break the 2nd movie in half since its whole. Thanks.
