I'm using 10.9.3 MacOS. I have installed graphviz 2.38.0.0 via macports. I use Doxygen GUI to configure it and run. Everything works great, if i choose "use build-in diagram generator". But when i use dot tool, i get this: error: problems opening map file /Users/pavelantonov/qtProjects/doxygen/result/11-06 1207/html/inherit_graph_21.map for inclusion in the docs! I've tried to change SHORT_NAMES and FULL_PATH_NAMES as i find in solution from 2008, but it doesn't help.
Doxygen Graphviz
GraphViz/bin is in paths. There are no white spaces in *.dot names. doxygen share|improve this question edited Jun 11 '14 at 9:07 PravinS 2,3633920 asked Jun 11 '14 at 9:04 Amadey 3315 1 You wrote: There are no white spaces in *.dot names. but I see: ...doxygen/result/11-06 1207/html... looks like a space to me or am I mistaken? Also have a try with DOT_CLEANUP = NO to see if the file is present or not. –albert Jun 11 '14 at 9:47 removed all spaces even in path to result and resource dir (/Users/pavelantonov/qtProjects/doxygen/result/15_06_1108/html/inherit_graph_22.map for inclusion in the docs! ). The result is the same. Changed DOT_CLEANUP to NO. This didn't fix the problem. P.s. thank you, @PravinS, for editing of question. –Amadey Jun 16 '14 at 7:16 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 3 down vote accepted I got this message 'problem opening map file for inclusion in the docs', if doxygen is not able to find graphviz/dot in the path. Try setting the path explicitly using DOT_PATH in the doxyfile. As albert, already mentioned remove any whitespace in the path to the output path. Another good idea is to completely remove your output directory, e.g. html, and regenerate your documentation. share|improve this answer edited Jun 14 '14 at 14:52 answered Jun 13
be fine.- Mihir PatelInstruction:1. Open the Doxygen file2. Search for the SHORT_NAMES (ex. you would find SHORT_NAMES = NO)3. change the NO to YES4. Save the File and run the doxygen again.if you are using the GUI window then you need to reload the Doxygen file. by file > Open and open the doxygen file with the updated settings. in threaded view ♦ ♦ | Report Content as Inappropriate ♦ ♦ Error with doxygen upgrade and dot map files. Hello, I recently upgraded from doxygen 1.6.1 to doxygen 1.7.1 on Windows (using pre installs) and now when I run my doxygen file I get a lot of these kinds of errors (a couple of hundred errors). error: problems opening map file C:/SomePath/X3DViewpointNode_totalPosition.dot.map for inclusion in the docs! If you installed Graphviz/dot after a previous failing run, try deleting the output directory and rerun doxygen. I found an old bug entry concerning this error but it is marked as fixed. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=606030 Did anyone else notice this behavior lately? Is there something I may have overlooked? The weirdest thing is that I can not see any problems with the generated documentation. The dot graphs seem to be where they should be. Oh, and of course I tried to fix the problem by following the suggestion in the error message, it does not work.
